“What a wonderful gem of a restaurant! The service, cozy atmosphere and food were all incredible. Went for an early birthday dinner with a friend who raved about the Mediterranean salad and it did not disappoint. The soup, I believe was a Sweet potato curry and I think was my favorite (ok it tied for first but that turtle cheesecake though) and the special of lamb lollypops over mushroom risotto along with the tricolore made for a feast. All of it was flavorful and fresh. I cannot wait to go back and try some more. Highly highly recommend reservations as it filled up quick and with good reason”

“Wonderful small plate restaurant. Everything on the menu is appealing. There is something for everyone. We enjoyed the bruschetta Trio, and the schawarma. So much flavor. Good portion. Reasonable price. The restaurant is intimate and inviting. It is also very lively and loud. Hard to have a conversation when the restaurant is full. But not impossible! Service was great. And, they take reservations.”

“This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. The problems started before the food even arrived. We sat on the patio, where the umbrella repeatedly tipped over because the base was clearly too light. It nearly hit customers multiple times. Watching a giant umbrella threaten to take out diners while no one seemed concerned was not exactly the relaxing atmosphere we were hoping for. Service was painfully slow and bizarre. It took 20 minutes to get our first drink—a simple Jack and Diet Coke. When we asked about the delay, we were told they were "waiting for ice" because it had to be brought over from next door. I've never heard that explanation at a restaurant before, and it pretty much set the tone for the rest of the evening. The drinks were a mixed bag. The sangria was actually very good. Unfortunately, my friend's mojito was one of the worst cocktails I've ever tasted. It was made with mint extract instead of fresh mint (as told to us by the server!) and tasted absolutely nothing like a mojito. It was undrinkable. Fortunately she replaced it at no charge with something else. The food wasn't much better. The bruschetta came topped with canned peaches—a choice so strange that everyone at the table was confused. The feta dish was equally odd and forgettable. We ordered multiple small plates, spent roughly $200, and left hungry. That's simply unacceptable. The entire evening felt like a series of mistakes, excuses, and disappointing dishes. For the prices being charged, the food should be memorable and the portions should be satisfying. Instead, we found ourselves looking longingly at the meals being served at the restaurant next door and wishing we'd gone there instead. Beach House Bistro managed to be expensive, underwhelming, and unsatisfying all at once. We won't be back. I'm thinking all the rave reviews are the owner's friends because there is no way that people go here and experience the same strangeness and think hey this is fantastic!”
