At Cantina Del Vesuvio Winery, we are passionate about producing exceptional wines that showcase the unique terroir of Vesuvio's wine country. As a family-run winery, we take pride in cultivating our vineyards using organic farming practices, ensuring that our grapes are of the highest quality. Our vineyards are home to traditional grape varieties, including Aglianico, Piedirosso, and Caprettone, which give our wines their distinctive character. We welcome visitors to our winery and invite you to join us for a guided tour of our vineyards and winery. After the tour, we invite you to taste our wines and savor the flavors of Mt. Vesuvius. Our volcanic wines are expertly paired with local foods, providing a unique and unforgettable experience. Whether you are a seasoned wine lover or just starting to explore the world of wine, we look forward to sharing our passion with you at Cantina Del Vesuvio Winery.
“This place is perfection. The views of Mount Vesuvius and the Mediterranean Sea are breathtaking, and the wines are amazing. We loved the delicious appetizer platter of cold cuts, meats, and cheeses. It was also wonderful to see how this family business has been beautifully evolving for nearly 100 years. The absolute highlight of the entire tour, though, was meeting their cat, Vino! Couldn't recommend Cantina Del Vesuvio enough.”
“Cantina del Vesuvio was the highlight of our trip to Italy! Ester hosted my family and I for the Vitner's House Private lunch. A serene, private dinner set against the Mount Vesuvius backdrop. The menu was a wide variety of fresh dishes and ingredients, most grown and sourced right from their property. We tasted new wines, learned about growing grapes, and laughed. 🍷🇮🇹🍝 Absolutely surreal experience and I'd highly recommend. We were so enamored we got signed copies of Ester's cookbook. 🤣 Highly recommend!”
“We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Cantina Del Vesuvio Winery! The views were breathtaking, the wine was incredible, and the entire atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. A special thank you to Carmine, who made our visit truly memorable with his kindness and knowledge. Highly recommend this beautiful spot—definitely a highlight of our trip!”
“We had a wonderful time at this very special place. They were communicative about the shuttle arrangements, the tour was informative without being long-winded and the staff were friendly, with good English. This was an anniversary gift and they made us very comfortable to enjoy this romantic experience as a queer couple. They were very attentive to details and even gave a little flower each and congratulated us on the anniversary. The vegetarian meal was absolutely delicious, with simple but sophisticated handling of natural ingredients and an idyllic view from the restaurant. Of course, the wine was the highlight, a great range of flavours and scents from the same earth, all without pesticides. Our favourite wines were the riserva and the rosato but all of them were delicious. I would happily recommend this as a day trip to anyone who loves natural wine and good food.”
“Having visited many vineyards before, in different counties, this one falls short of impressive. The welcome was very warm and friendly and the staff responded promptly to my inquiries about transportation to get to the site. Service for lunch is quick and efficient. It felt more like just having a lovely (quick) lunch on a terrace in the countryside but not at all like visiting a vineyard let alone “wine tasting”. The “tour”’last 10-15 minutes tops and very little details are provided about the production or wines themselves. The host rambles off a bunch of details and has little interest in additional questions. Our guide was very charming and friendly but clearly not a sommelier. I would not bother to go out of my way to see this place. The wine is good and they produce a decent variety BUT not worth the detour. The actual tasting happens while you eat. The food is okay, but nothing great considering that you are in Italy. The server gives you a quick, rehearsed explanation of each of the wines as they throw food at you as fast as possible to make space for the next groups. Sometimes the wine would arrive too soon before the course or when we were almost done the course… anyhow you get the point.”
