“I had the pleasure of coming here tonight for the first time and I wanted to start by giving the biggest shout out to everybody working there. From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted at the front and then our waitress Violet was absolutely above and beyond incredible. Even though we had a large party, gratuity was already included, she went out of her way to take such good care of all of us. We had a four-year-old in the group and she (I'm not exaggerating) let him have two different bracelets off of her arms and she actually keeps those bracelets around for when kids are dining there. She just had special moments with each of us, connecting around foods that we love. Today happened to be May the 4th and she overheard that I love Star Wars and went out of her way to share a very special memory that warmed my heart around something related. The food was all incredible, the drinks were lovely, and the ambiance was so cool. For a beautiful spring evening I could not have asked for a better local spot. Afterwards I realized that the building that it's in is very historic and it was so cool to walk around it and see the old architectural style and read the placard of one of the oldest shopping centers in the United States. It just was a very special Baltimore night. I highly recommend this place. They have tons of specials and are changing their menu up all the time, cool lunch time options it looks like, and just seems like the kind of spot where if I lived here I would want to be visiting all the time. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in town and again Violet, thank you for making the evening so special!”
“Always a great dinner & service. Hard to find both lately. My fav meal is the short ribs with the smashed potatoes! The beet cocktail is super tasty too. Tried the cauliflower soup with chili oil, get it, you wont regret it!”
“Came here for the first time last week on a Thursday night. I love the Thursday night girl dinner (salad and fries, how fun!). I think the food and drinks are a bit pricey ($17 for a cocktail, yikes!), but the atmosphere and dining experience is truly gorgeous, warm and inviting. Low lights, lush seats that are more like couches, gorgeous stone and wood all around. I enjoyed the complimentary bread, studded with dried fruit and whipped butter. The bread if it was warm would have been a bit better. I ordered the fish sandwich with fries and it was delicious - super fresh, crispy, flaky, and delicious. The fries with malbec aioli were also delicious, I would have liked even more aioli. Good portion size. Service was quick and nice. I want to come back and try their brunch and happy hour!”
“Johnny’s was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm atmosphere, the inviting setup, and the sheer abundance of food options. This place easily ranks in my top three best brunch spots I’ve EVER visited. Every dish was cooked to absolute perfection — the flavors, the presentation, everything was spot on. I still catch myself thinking about how good that meal was to this day. The service only made the experience better; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. If you’re looking for a brunch that truly stands out and leaves a lasting impression, Johnny’s is the place. I’ll definitely be returning!”
“This place is absolutely wonderful. I particularly love that they change their menus often and always have options for all dietary restrictions and they are tucked away in a tree-lined street. Helen and all of the staff is always kind and knowledgeable on menu preferences. If I could add one thing to Johnny's, that would be for them to bring the flowers and farmer's market back. It was a huge hit and highlight for patrons in the past and I truly miss it.”
