“Had a great experience at Gustazo in Cambridge! I ordered the lamb chops, empanadas, and flan — everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and each dish felt thoughtfully prepared. The service really stood out too. My server was incredibly kind and attentive, and they made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I also appreciated that takeout was available, which is always a plus. Parking here was convenient as well, which made the visit stress-free. The ambiance leans toward a darker, slightly smoky vibe. I personally didn’t mind it, but it might feel a bit dim or heavy for seniors or families with kids. Overall, I’d give Gustazo a solid 5/5 — amazing food, great service, and a unique atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!”
“My large group had a great experience. I say 4.5 stars as my vegetarian dish was not elevated like others. I had Ropa Vieja de hongos and while tasty, it was not special. All other dishes pretty much had an elevated presentation and I was told very tasty. Service was very good which is why I think it deserves a little more than 4 stars. Compliments to the chef!”
“This was incredible. We came here for a late Valentine’s Day dinner around 9 and the place was still pretty busy. We did have a reservation so we were seated downstairs promptly. The only thing we could even think of being a negative is the time it took for the waiter to approach our table initially but it’s a holiday and they were busy so we weren’t pressed. The drinks were great (Mojito and Hotel Nacional) We really weren’t ready for how AMAZING the food was. We had the Jamon Croquettes, Chicharrones de Invierno, Costillas and Taco del dia. Just try it all. They had a passion fruit mousse chocolate tarte special for Valentine’s Day, also amazing. The AGM (I think?) came to chat with us and he was so animated and friendly. We even asked to give our compliments to the chef. We will be back!”
“Fun little spot! They’ve got a rotating menu, handcrafted cocktails, and a fun, lively atmosphere. It does get a little cramped inside, but the energy adds to the experience. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave great recommendations throughout the meal. We tried a few different dishes and honestly loved everything. The standouts were definitely the mussels and the ribs. The mussels were huge, fresh, and packed with flavor, while the ribs were coated in a tangy-sweet sauce and literally fell right off the bone. Would absolutely come back to try more of the menu!”
“4 star restaurant that delivered 3 star service. I think we got a bit unlucky. We were having a perfectly lovely evening enjoying vibes, drinks, and food…until we go to desert. We ordered one of each and none of them were particularly great. More egregiously, they took FIFTY MINUTES to arrive. We were done with all our food and drinks and just….waiting around. Without much concern or attention from our server. I’m all for a leisurely meal, but that was excessive. Before that, food had come out at a good pace. We ordered one of everything on the menu so tried it all. Most were great for sharing even in a larger group of 8. Everything was good, but nothing was good. If you’re prepared to have a long leisurely meal (2.5+ hours, even with a smaller group) definitely still worth a visit to this unique buzzy spot.”
