“We came out for Mother’s Day brunch and the service was the best. The whole staff worked as a team delivering items and waiting on us. We felt entirely pampered while given space to enjoy our family. I am not exaggerating how great the service was, it was hands down the best eatery service we have ever experienced. It was delightful seeing all the dishes being carried out. The food plating and tastes were superb. The dad in our bunch was thrilled that he could eat somewhere upscale and feel he ate enough food, ha! Great portion sizes. The cocktails were deeeeelicious!!! Also, the house music was fantastic, just an additional joy to the day. The staff were so kind to the children and doggo :) I am SO EXCITED for our next trip to Zocalo!!!!!”

“Zocalo was an incredible dining experience from start to finish. I had the poblano pasta with steak, and it was absolutely delicious. The pasta was rich and flavorful, and the steak was cooked perfectly and paired so well with the pasta. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in Charlottesville. The restaurant itself has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The chef was so kind. My server, Adyson, was amazing. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. I highly recommend Zocalo to anyone looking for outstanding food and exceptional hospitality. I will definitely be coming back!”

“Enjoyed a wonderful Easter brunch! Loved the attention to detail with the Easter drink special “Bad Bunny”. I had the Avocado Croissant, plated beautifully and tasted even better. Also enjoyed the pumpkin muffins and the strawberry French Toast. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and I can’t wait to return! We had great service, our server was patient with and recommended great options.”

“My wife and I were hungry for something slightly different. We came to Zocalo as we had been once a couple of years earlier. The Corn and Crab soup is amazing. You get both flavors but neither overwhelmed the other. The Fish Tacos were Perfect. My wife was recently diagnosed with Alpha Gal. The server was familiar with it and was able to help us through the menu. They Cooked her Salmon in a separate pan to ensure no cross contamination. Perfect music, great calm atmosphere. 100% will be bringing family and friends here soon.”

“We love the new zocalo, now under Will’s new ownership. Generous portions and fresh authentic flavors. We went with my in-laws Norman and Sue, who are long time friends of new owner Will. We got both the Mexican as well as Colombian coffees. We started with the pumpkin blossom muffins. I got the Spanish breakfast and my husband got the omelette. So hearty and delicious. And super friendly service. Will gifted us fresh in house made tropical sorbets and another dish, a strawberry sorbet with a round churro pastry. It was so nice to chat with Will. You can tell he is passionate about food. Plus there were a lot of cute decorations and it was so festive for the season. We can’t wait to come back!”
