“We are breakfast people that recently moved to Turtle Creek from NYCand Vermont. After a few unsuccessful tries at some other breakfast spots, we decided to try Breadwinners. The bread basket is ridiculously cheap at 1.75 so we decided to try it with a cinnamon bun before our meals. These two items could have been a delicious meal by themselves. The breadbasket included zucchini bread, rasberry, carrot and blueberry slices which were all outstanding. The breakfast menu was extensive and had something for everyone. Large portions generally mean low quality but that was NOT the case here. The food was excellent, well prepared and abundant. Also, the tea pot was enough for two cups without having to ask for more. Total home run and the manager and wait staff were also friendly and efficient. We will definitely return and also try them for lunch. So happy this is nearby. Our new breakfast go to!”
“I don’t review places unless they wow me, as a foodie that travels the country for work I can tell you this is a southern Louisiana level good breakfast spot. Chicken and waffles a huge portion, incredibly well seasoned chicken, the pigs in a blanket were so good we ordered more for the table. Fantastic spot for breakfast or brunch if you want to impress a visitor, friend, or client.”
“The ambiance was lively and welcoming, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Big shoutout to Jessica for managing our reservation and making sure everything ran smoothly, and to our server Matthias for his great service and menu recommendations. We felt very well taken care of and will definitely be back!!”
“First time to try from here. We ordered lunch to be delivered for 5 people. Apparently they had 2 large orders at the same time, not sure 5 people is a large order, but anyway, it took about 45 minutes to prepare the order to be delivered. Although it was a long wait, food did arrive still warm. Everything was packaged well, and everything ordered arrived as expected, except my syrup was missing from my order. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles, it was good, but wish they would have also sent my syrup. The gravy for the chicken was great, the breading was light and flavorful. The waffle was like stuffed with jalapeño, bacon, and cheddar, very good. We will order from here again so I can try some other items.”
“I have to say I was very disappointed with Breadwinners location. But let me begin on a positive note, the atmosphere is great. It's a cozy somewhat rustic style that I enjoyed. The food was hit or miss for me. The county fried steak was small but was tender and seasoned well and the jalapeño gravy added a mild spicy touch. The grits were grainy, but creamy at the same time, which was good. The potatoes were basic and had no seasoning as well as the eggs. But the cinnamon rolls were awesome, even though they ran out during brunch hour. The waffles were very good also, but were served with very little syrup. The service was also disappointing . Our waitress was sub par at best She took our order while seemingly mildly annoyed. She came around once every 20min. When served our cinnamon rolls there were no plates given, so rather than wait for her another 20 min we ate off napkins. There was a group of 10 of us, which may have added to our wait experience, but I have been to several other restaurants where this wasn't an option. We also had to pay for parking in this area. In conclusion I would visit Breadwinners at a different location, but i would not visit this one again”
