“2026 - I recently went back to Greek Taverna, and I’m happy to say the food is still just as amazing as I remembered. It’s always a great sign when a restaurant consistently delivers, and this visit was no exception. We started with the arugula and beet salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. It was the perfect balance of ingredients and a great way to begin the meal. We also ordered the Bifteki platter, and it was just as incredible as ever—well-prepared, full of flavor, and truly satisfying. Overall, Greek Taverna continues to impress with its consistently delicious food and quality dishes. It’s a place I’m always happy to return to and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal in Edgewater. 2024 - Loved the food there.”

“Lively family friendly BYO restaurant. Food is very fresh and portions are generous. We weren’t very hungry so ordered the roasted eggplant, grilled Calamari, and gyro to split. Very delicious”

“We were there 3 times, it was close to our hotel. Taste food. Good and fast service. At weekdays it was not full. Affordable price. Amazing portions, just look at that. Pretty interior with Greek vibes. Definitely recommended.”

“I made a Sunday lunch reservation at GT. Upon arrival we were the only party at the restaurant, got our table right away. I was mesmerized by the incredible interaction decorations and artifacts they had. It was really a total Greek vibe. Their menu had so many items in each section. We started with the seafood sampler that had a mix of octopus, calamari and jumbo shrimp. I liked the charred shrimp, but the other two seemed dry and rubber like chewy. For entree I had a roasted lamb shank. It was a huge piece, with a large portion of lamb meat. I loved the tomato wine sauce and orzo in it too. My family ordered the whole Branzino, that was very nicely cooked. Loved the flavor. They also got the grilled chicken platter where the chicken was dry and looked ordinary. I had the peach tea as well that was tasty. Our service was good. The server and staff members were attentive. They removed empty dishes time to time. The food came out within short intervals. Overall loved the whole experience apart from few dishes that were below per to me.”

“I applaud Greek Taverna for offering Skordalia. It is very hard to find these days and traditional. I ordered just this alone via Uber eats for $20 (driver tip included) as a small treat. It was a tad more bland than I expected tasting a bit more like garlic mashed potatoes. The garic ratio was spot on! But It could have used lemon or vinegar for a tang that was not evident as well as a drizzle of good oil and spared some herbs on top. Perhaps more emulsified and more potatoe flavor bc I have made instant mashed potatoes with garlic similarly before. I had met the employees in the past and know they are Greek so it disappointed me that the standard was not giving us the best instead of the least and to do a taste test. Then again not many people seem to order it so perhaps that is why it may have been overlooked as important. As one of the few places who offer it, its important. I really enjoyed how fresh and chewy their pitas were. Effcharisto!”
