“*This is for the restaurant, the tavern. Very good food made with care with fresh ingredients. Staff; the host, bartenders and wait staff, always friendly and polite. We always feel welcomed there. The host always recognizes us each time we visit for dinner. Cozy atmosphere with New England style. Cozy fireplace too during winter months. If I didn't live in the area and was visiting, I'd definitely stay at the inn. I recommend checking The White Hart.”

“Wonderful quintessential Inn and restaurant with bar. Food is delightful,people and staff friendly,top of the line service. Large stone hearth, fireplace roaring, with tables and cute wooden nook bench with large table in front of fire in bar area. Always locals coming in greeting each other as if it was the place to meet with a smile a going ons of day, or of late. Feels homey and cheerful. Felt like a local, that's how welcoming they are, no silent awkwardnesses. The rooms upstairs in this inn are beautiful and have a country, colonial, a bit Victorian antique centered design. Love the entire town and people are splendid from days of past feeling, from the library to private pharmacy.The grocery store is healthy, fresh, with an integrated style, picture smaller and more charming and warm than Wholefoods mixed with a Californian like, relaxed vibe. All in walking distance from one another. Salisbury and Twin Lakes are charming and graceful. Plenty of hiking trails up mountains with ravenes, waterfalls and swim holes or pockets nestled between giant glorious rocks, boulders, and mounts to look up to,with tall trees all about, and the sound of water falls and rambling brooks communing with the forest. Mount Regis/Falls. Farms and pastures for animals to roam, I hope still, are part of the best place to be in CT.”

“Beautiful room, excellent food, Taco Tuesday is a must if you’re around that day (squash taco option was very yummy). Excellent breakfasts included😊. The summer squash dinner I had doesn’t get any better☺️. Wanted to post photos of the squash entre bc it was very artistically presented but sadly no posting option for me.”

“We got married at The White Hart at the end of February 2025, and we cannot recommend it enough as a venue. If we could give this place 10 stars, we would. The inn has amazing charm, delicious food, and the best drinks we’ve ever had, but what really sets it apart is the people. From the first time we set foot inside we were treated so well, which is something that is lacking at larger venues (we looked at MANY venues and nothing could top The White Hart’s hospitality). Emma, our wedding coordinator, was AMAZING from the first time we met all the way through the big day. Ryan is an exceptional bartender who worked with us to create a delicious drink menu and Desiree was the MVP of the wedding morning making sure everyone had everything they needed while getting ready. The next morning the entire staff kept saying congratulations to us and made us feel so special. We cannot recommend The White Hart enough for your special day, it is truly an amazing place! We feel so grateful to have had our special day here, and look forward to visiting The White Hart on our anniversary for years to come!”
