“One of the best meals we’ve had during our stay. When you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and the staff are welcoming. We sat in the bar area and had a great view of the sound. The food and drinks were on point! Great spot for family of a date night out, highly recommend (make reservations)”
“Top of the list for best restaurants we have been to! The chef is definitely a genius and an artist. From the outside this place looks ordinary and unpretentious, weathered wood siding, stone parking lot and outbuilding scattered with seafaring gear. Arriving at the steps the entry is surrounded with potted flowering plants and very welcoming…just inside the lobby is tiny and the hostess is there to greet you. The inside space is nice, nothing fancy but comfortable for sure. A mix of tables and booths fill the room, many with Sound views. The service is excellent. The cocktails are generous and creative. The menus is minimal but covers it all…seafood, pastas, meat and vegetarian. The food is truly amazing! Beautifully presented and so flavorful…def made with passion and skill! Go Here.”
“They got us in for a last minute reservation- we opted to eat dinner at the bar to enjoy the amazing view. Service and food was stellar- we had the special, a softshell crab and pasta. A starter of crab meat on toast was generous (and delicious). The team serving us was very friendly and had great recommendations. Excited to join again on our next trip to the outer banks!”
“This was the best experience! The food was the best meal I've had in a long time and the scallops were the largest I've ever seen! Very well executed food and loved the vibe. Even the salads were a notch above. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.”
“This is a cool spot. I took my wife here for a small anniversary dinner because I was looking for a place with a nice atmosphere, a bit of a dress code, and that classic “overpriced but delicious” kind of vibe. We definitely found the overpriced part — but to be fair, the food was still pretty good. I wouldn’t say it was the best meal I’ve ever had, but it was definitely enjoyable and well made. The drinks were also good, although they’re on the expensive side as well. Not shocking for a place like this, but something to keep in mind. Our server was very enthusiastic about the shrimp and grits — so enthusiastic that he told us (and pretty much every table around us) that it was “out of this world.” After hearing that a few times I had to try it. It was good, no doubt, but maybe just not quite out of this world. Still a solid dish though. Overall, I don’t want this to sound like a negative review because it really was a good experience. It’s definitely a nice place for a date night or a special occasion. One thing worth noting: the restaurant mentions having a dress code, but when we were there plenty of people were wearing hoodies and casual street clothes. So if you’re worried about needing a suit and tie, you probably don’t have to stress about it. Also, they are only open for 4 hours in the afternoon so be on time. All in all, a good spot for a nice night out.”
