The Brass Pearl is an Oysters restaurant in the Market Square neighborhood of Knoxville.
“I’ve wanted to try Brass & Pearl for quite a while, and since we happened to be in Knoxville for the evening, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. We started with a dozen oysters, and the Sweet Jesus oysters were the clear standout. Fresh, briny, and full of flavor. Easily one of the best things I ate all night. My wife ordered the fried shrimp po’ boy, and it was impressive from the moment it hit the table. Loaded with crispy shrimp, great flavor, and large enough that most people could probably make a meal out of half of it. The fries were crisp and well seasoned as well. I ordered the sea bass with lobster risotto. The sea bass was cooked beautifully. Flaky, tender, and finished with a rich beurre blanc sauce that complemented the fish perfectly. The risotto was good, though I would have liked a little more lobster and it was slightly firmer than my personal preference. The menu is packed with interesting options. The seafood tower, lobster mac and cheese, shrimp and grits, and several oyster selections all caught my eye. It is the kind of place where you immediately start planning what you’ll order on your next visit. Overall, Brass & Pearl delivered a very enjoyable meal with excellent seafood, attentive service, and a menu that makes you want to come back and explore more. We’ll definitely be returning the next time we’re in Knoxville.”
“Fantastic food and great service is always on the menu here! Highly recommend this Market Square gem… Their fresh oysters are always delightful and if you have the good fortune to be there when they have the Sweet Jesus variety do not pass them up… delicious!”
“We were downtown for my granddaughter's dance recital, which happened to coincide with my birthday. We decided to see if we could find a place to eat on Market Square at 5 p.m. on a Saturday, and we liked the menu options at Brass Pearl. A table for two on the patio had just departed, and the hostess was happily let us have it as soon as it was cleared and reset. The weather was perfect, and the people watching was great without being too loud or obtrusive. The inside of the restaurant is nice too, and the bar area was cool. Our server was pleasant and skilled. She gave us time to consider our options and was helpful with suggestions. The calamari fries were good, the red snapper special with lobster risotto was delicious, and the grouper sandwich is excellent! As someone who grew up eating fresh snapper and grouper, we were not disappointed, and the prices were very reasonable. A nice touch was the complimentary dessert, too. We will definitely be back!”
“Such a great experience at the Brass Pearl for lunch! The lobster dip app is to die for!!! We got the salty bae and a hugo spritz to drink, they paired so well with the dip. Definitely recommend coming here for refreshing sea food and great vibes! What really sold the experience though was our incredible server, Anna! She was so attentive and kind and did it all with a contagious smile. Thank you Brass Pearl but more importantly thank you Anna.”
“Best oysters I’ve ever had in a landlocked state (my favorite were the isle dauphine). The sea bass was also 10/10 phenomenal. Service was wonderful and the atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant which is important to me when dining alone!”
