“WOW I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The chicken Statler was incredibly flavorful and the potato wedges were out of this world! This dessert blew me away, it was decadent and delectable! The crusty bread at the beginning of the meal was so fantastic. Our service was friendly, welcoming, and so helpful! Everyone treated us as if they were so glad we were there! Genuinely this was one of the best meals I’ve ever experienced and one of the most lovely restaurant experiences I’ve had! I couldn’t recommend this place more! The owner is especially wonderful! Thank you so much! What a gem and a treasure!”

“Tonight I was part of a party of five that dined at this wonderful restaurant. We arrived at our reservation time and were immediately seated. We were asked if we wanted the complementary bread, it was plentiful and good. Everyone but me had an appetizer. You can see from one of the pictures I did sample the Mediterranean salad and it was excellent. I ordered the Barbecue Braised Pork Cheeks and a side of mushrooms. I had never had this before and quite frankly I ordered it quite not knowing what it was. It was excellent. I am likely to order it again next time we are in Lenox. The side of mushrooms was plentiful, most of which came home with me. I will use it in my omelet tomorrow morning. Service was very good. We had two waitress, one was in training, very attentive service.”

“Super yummy food, the flavors are well balanced with French techniques and flavors. The wine list is very good… they even have wine pairing recommendations on the menu with their entrees - a very nice touch. The staff is polite and friendly with warm hospitality, the atmosphere is nice and cozy - French bistro feel.”

“This is my favorite restaurant ever. We've been coming here for years and the food and service are always exceptional. We usually are there during the summer but everytime we go back it feels like we're visiting friends. I swear by their Mediterranean salad with salmon (or if you're there for lunch, the salmon quesadilla is INCREDIBLE)! I'm not usually a salad lover but Alta KNOWS how to make a salad. The owners are so friendly and always walking around to check how your experience is going. I've brought friends (larger groups with families, girls trips), family here and Alta is always a hit! I had a milestone birthday this past December (on NYE) and as hesitant as I usually am to go out to eat on my birthday as it's a crazy holiday to go out on, we went ahead and made reservations for 6 (including my 4 and 6 year old). The server went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and everything went perfectly (which if you have children you know is tough when you're eating out, especially at a nicer restaurant on a holiday). The food was delicious and everyone had the best time! This also wasn't the first time I've brought my children in and every time, the owners and staff have been so welcoming and accommodating. They also have an amazing kids menu - both of my girls LOVE the salmon as well! Alta is also great because they support other local businesses (High Lawn Farms ice cream & Berkshire Mountain Bakery bread - incredible)! HIGHLY recommend!”
