“Great experience! The staff is friendly and I love the decor. We had only appetizers for happy hour - I was craving for jalapeño poppers and some nachos and it was great. They served us very fast. Didn’t think the deals for drinks at happy hour was worth it.”

“February 2026: Stopped by after a UCLA basketball game at Pauley Pavilion. The place was quite busy after the game. Had enough food at the game so only wanted drinks. Pretty decent beer 🍺 list. Tried the Barney's IPA. Not sure which brewery in Eureka, CA makes their beer but it was solid. It was only $6 a pint for their own brew. Would definitely come back again. Especially after a UCLA basketball win!”

“We were looking for a spot near UCLA to catch the tail end of a golf game, and after trying one place that felt more like a college nightclub, we landed here—and it worked. This is a true sports bar setup—wall-to-wall TVs in every direction. Golf, baseball, even random motorsports were all playing at once, and it was easy to find a screen without having to hunt for one. The crowd had energy—people watching, reacting, cheering—exactly what you want when catching a game. What makes this place stand out, though, is how eclectic it is. License plates, old magazine covers, random memorabilia—it feels layered over time rather than designed. Turns out that’s real: Barney’s dates back to 1920 and has roots in Route 66 culture, which explains the mix of decor. It’s casual, communal, and a little visually chaotic—but it works. Big plus: parking right across the street. Park, walk 30 seconds, you’re in. Would definitely come back to watch a game here. Did not eat here so only can comment on the atmosphere!”
