Great White is a casual, coastal Californian all-day café located on the iconic Larchmont Boulevard. The concept blends a combination of laid-back Australian Café culture with the West Coast Californian lifestyle. The original restaurant opened in the summer of 2017 in Venice Beach with much success and has become synonymous with Venice Beach culture and a staple favorite for locals, surfers, tourists, and visitors alike. Now, the company is expanding to the Greater LA area opening in Larchmont and West Hollywood. The food and drinks are fresh, bright, and playful and the interiors are open, inviting, and breezy with textured white-washed walls, and warm Balinese furnishings in a casual all-day setting starting at 8 am for coffee and breakfast through to dinner and evening beer, natural wine and cocktails. Our food is inspired by a blend of coastal cultures with a focus on fresh, local, healthy and accessible food that’s simple and lets the ingredients shine as would be found in most coastlines of Europe, Australia, and the Americas. We source locally in whatever we do. This ranges from Farmer's market produce to working with small natural wine distributors.
“We came here for a birthday lunch and ordered the Truffle Mushroom Pizza, the Market Chop salad and the Shrimp Pasta. The salad and shrimp pasta was absolutely delicious but the pizza was... okay. The service was great and I would definitely come back again for another meal.”
“The Great White Breakie was delicious, I loved the combination of goat cheese and sourdough. The folded eggs were also really good, especially with the bacon slices. Overall the flavors were really well balanced on this plate, and I enjoyed how you could mix & match the different ingredients to your taste. The Caesar Salad was very good, would recommend adding grilled chicken on the side. We also liked the coffee here, especially the Shaken Iced Latte! Great food and great service too. The atmosphere is also very relaxed, perfect for brunch but I could also see this being a nice dinner place too.”
“I love Great White, both locations are great. I’ve had the fried chicken sandwich a couple of times. The pizza is always delicious as well as the bolognese, Caesar salad and chicken kabob. I couldn’t stop eating the Banana Bread, but the sourdough banana pudding could be skipped. I also had the best matcha strawberry ever here.”
“Nice spot for brunch or a casual meal, especially if you like places with a good vibe and a menu that has a little bit of everything. The food felt fresh, the coffee was solid, and the whole place had that relaxed LA café feel without being too heavy or overdone. It’s definitely not the cheapest casual meal, but the atmosphere and food make it feel worth checking out. Good place for breakfast, lunch, or just hanging out for a bit with friends or family.”
“Went to Great White for a girls dinner yesterday and the food was delicious. The summer tomato salad was stunning. Maybe one of the best things I’ve tasted in a while. The drink was ok, kind of small but well made. But that’s summer tomato salad was killer. Definitely recommend for a cute vibe and good eats. Limited drink menu but the food was bueno.”
