Tomat is a Californian farm-to-table restaurant serving Westchester and the Greater Los Angeles communities. Our dinner service begins 5pm and runs Wednesday through Sunday. We warmly invite walk-ins, and encourage guests to come early to enjoy a cocktail on our Rooftop Terrace while waiting for their table.
“Great spot! The service was incredibly friendly and hospitable. I sat at the bar and enjoyed overlooking the activity in the kitchen. I really like the focus on local food, even sourcing vegetables and herbs from their nearby garden. To eat, I ordered the grilled garden vegetables with pistachio saffron pesto; the salmon as my main; and a side of the fenugreek roasted potatoes. The grilled garden vegetables were more raw than grilled, so I wouldn’t get that again. The salmon had potential. It was good, but a little cold. I could see it sitting out for a bit so didn’t totally surprise me, but I would’ve preferred it be hot or at least warm. The highlight was definitely the fenugreek roasted potatoes. Would order these again!”
“I have been to Tomat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner now and I’ve had a great experience each time. The owners and staff are so kind, they all clearly put a lot of care and dedication into everything they do. Miley the manager is so attentive and friendly. She always goes above and beyond to make sure all is well and just makes Tomat feel like the most welcoming and cozy neighborhood spot. My favorite thing to do is get coffee and pastries and sit up on the roof to enjoy. Truly love it here!”
“Found out about Tomat after someone recommended it. Popped in and had a London Fog and a pistachio croissant (warmed up); Both were divine! The croissant was overflowing with pistachio filling and crispy/golden brown. I had it for take away, but the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was gentle and efficient. Would definitely recommend!”
“The ambiance is modern, cozy and minimalist with views of the open kitchen and eclectic art dotted throughout. Soft jazz playing in the background lends to an easy vibe and invites you to relax and stay a while. Food is served so that sharing among the table is encouraged. The food is phenomenal with interesting deep dynamic flavors that are surprising combinations that delight like the pea salad with fried parsnips and Meyer lemon dressing. I highly recommend that salad as well as the beets with labneh starter. The cod was buttery, and the accompanying sauce worth sopping up with the Barberi bread! And do not skip the sticky toffy pudding! The cocktails are top notch and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. Tomatla is on the rise and I see a Michelin rating in their future! 10/10”
“Good flavors and great energy, with a few areas that could make it even better. What we loved: The rooftop cocktails were elegant and well-balanced, and every dish was nicely seasoned and clearly made with quality ingredients. Highlights for us were the black cod with curry sauce and the tomato butter with bread. The lively dining room added to the experience, and it was a treat to watch the chefs at work. Opportunities to improve: Portions sometimes felt a little small for the price point—especially the duck, which came as two main pieces alongside a tamale/dolma preparation that wasn’t our favorite. A couple of the vegetables, like zucchini and long beans, leaned more on the raw side, which was surprising given the menu descriptions—we’d have loved to see them cooked through to bring out more flavor.”
