“An absolutely fantastic experience, from the wonderful food & exceptional hospitality & service from the very friendly staff. Showed up during happy hour & the staff were very accommodating, my girlfriend has specific food allergies & they personally contacted the staff member who made the particular dish to ensure there was no contamination & let us put in our dinner orders ahead of the start of service. Excellent, tasty bread appetizers & fries with some wine. My burger with fingerling potatoes was well worth the menu price, quality house made dry-aged beef & top shelf ingredients. Just fantastic food overall & over & above service. I've been recommending everyone give the place a visit, truly a next to perfect dining experience.”
“I've had the pleasure of dining here twice now, and both times have been excellent. The service and food are outstanding, and I love the vibe of this place. They have great drinks and a beautiful patio. The butcher shop is always busy. The place is spotless clean. Even the air vents and ceiling fixtures are clean, which is something I always look for. You can tell which restaurants care if you look up. The smash burger is excellent, as are the mussels, when they have them. Honestly, everything is great here. Drinks were great. 5/5 for me.”
“Wonderful atmosphere, especially the enclosed outdoor patio. The smoked half chicken was amazing—great flavor and a generous portion. Definitely worth a visit to Red Hog Restaurant & Butcher!”
“Checked out RedHog for lunch the first time today and wasn’t disappointed. As a group we had the charcuterie board and then we each ordered sandwiches; The Club, The Fat Tony, The Cuban, and The Butcher’s Melt. The Club (which I personally had) was a very big sandwich and easily big enough to split with another person or take half to go. All of the sandwiches were flavorful and generous with their sizes and portions of meat. We sat on the outside patio, which was tented and heated due to the season, and had one long table with bench style seating. It was nice and service was quick and friendly. We did stop inside just to take a peek, it is a bit tight inside and there aren’t many tables (in my opinion). It is wheelchair accessible (our daughter is a wheelchair user), however as mentioned, it is fairly tight inside from what I could tell, a majority of the tables (if not all?) were bar height tables. I will say, it was a bit more “upscale” than I anticipated it to be when we initially discussed going. Just in the sense that the items were a bit pricey, apparently there’s a fair amount of people that make reservations, and I just imagined a grungier place than what it was. When I think “deli” I guess I just tend to think a bit more downscale than what Red Hog is? I don’t say this in a negative way, just in an observatory way. Great food and good experience! Would recommend!”
“When we went it was cold out and we sat on the patio. They had some nice granite/marble tables for communal eating in a warming tent. The food was top notch. I had the dry aged ribeye with fingerling potatoes. My wife had the fish plate special that she is still raving about. I personally prefer a good crust on my rare/medrare steaks but the meat was seasoned nicely and it was perfectly done otherwise. The potatoes were lovely. Additionally we had the pimento cheese appetizer. It was pleasantly surprising and nice mix of sweet and savory. And let me not forget the basque cheesecake. It was not overly sweet but it had a lovely creamy texture with a rich fudginess and add the mousse and it was sooooo dang good we had to take a piece home with us. I definitely will be going back as I would like to explore the menu further and to check out the butcher shop.”
