Tropezón is an Andalusian style gin and tapas bar hidden in the corridors of historic Española Way. Inspired by the Spanish village saloons where old men play afternoon cards and women converse over sips of Sherry, Tropezón means “a stumble” or when you “trip” on something. For the weary traveler and the lively local, a refreshing escape from the typical; an intersection of sacred geometry where mistakes are excused, and all slippery souls are welcome.
“Tropezón feels like a cozy Spanish tavern and offers a welcome escape from the tourist-heavy crowds on Española Way. We went for happy hour which offered some pretty great drink and menu items for a reasonable price. The Spanish tapas are flavorful and well-while the gin-focused cocktail program stands out from the typical Miami Beach bar scene and our bartender Troy gave the best recommendations and made the BEST drinks👌. This place is a great choice for date night, drinks, and sharing plates - def will go back!”
“We randomly chose this place while walking around South Beach and didn’t expect much but it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Miami. The food was absolutely delicious, with great attention to detail in every dish. We had the tuna, the potatoes, the salad, and the mussels, and every single one was outstanding. The atmosphere is charming and cozy, making the whole experience even better. What really stood out was the staff, everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and clearly knowledgeable about their craft. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Definitely a hidden gem. We’ll 100% be coming back.”
“It’s very hard to find this caliber of food and service on South Beach. If you’re looking for a non-touristy, elevated dining experience in South Beach this is it. One of the best Negronis I’ve ever had as well. Our server K was very attentive and recommended us the pan con tomate which was by far our favorite.”
“Good was absolutely delicious, every thing was fresh and so memorable. The pan con tomate was so succulent and flavorful, the papatas bravas so unique, and the paella so so yummy. CONRAD was the most attentive and caring server, would recommend him every single time. lovely time.”
“It was a nice spot with good overall vibes and a pleasant atmosphere. Definitely a solid choice for a meal in Miami though it is not quite on the same level as the authentic places you find in Spain. The paella is only paella in name the taste is quite different from the real Spanish version which was a bit disappointing. That said everything else on the menu was very tasty the service was friendly and attentive and we left satisfied. I would recommend it for a good dinner just do not go in expecting a true taste of Spain. Giving it 4 stars.”
