“Had lunch today everything was delicious the red pepper and burratta drizzled with honey was delicious. The parppadelle with short ribs was outstanding both preparation and taste.The squid ink seafood pasta was amazing as was the eggplant pizza.. The cannoli were very fresh. The place has a nice vibe and was very busy. Service was professional, efficient and the dishes came out quickly. Overall a phenomenal lunch. Highly recommend”

“Paws—this one’s worth it 🐾Barbalu BKLYN is officially Theo-approved. We scored a cozy patio corner all to ourselves, which is basically the dog version of winning the lottery. If you’re looking for a prime summer sun-soaking spot, this is it.Our waiter, Alex, was a total natural—super attentive and he even mentioned I’m cute. Honestly? Five stars for accuracy alone. 🐾 My human went for the Squid Ink Tonnarelli Allo Scoglio red sauce and a side of brussels sprouts. We actually ordered the exact same thing as our last takeout night and it was still an 11/10. If you want a relaxed vibe with food that actually hits the mark, fetch your human a table here.”

“Barbalu was a pleasant surprise, walked in with about 30 minutes to close and we were able to get seated. The food was hot and fresh and delicious, we had three dishes to sausage and peppers pasta, the fresh cavatelli with mushroom as well as the fresh pappardelle with Ragu. I would recommend all of them and I plan to visit again I’m screwing up people down !”

“Best to go on Sundays...for Parking. Otherwise, this quaint, intimate enclave of delicious fresh Italian fare is the perfect date or family gathering spot. Pastas are fresh, wines are Italian and Service is familial, comforting and personable. There's bar space for solo situations or to grab a quick bite and sip. Short Ribs Paparadelle, Fettucine Alfredo with Grilled Chicken were fresh & delish! Had the Fried Calamari and Shrimp to start. Very light battered, fried and clean. Also, had the divine Roasted Brussel Sprouts. Ended with the Olive Oil Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream and the 3 Mini Cannolis, which provided the perfect bite to end the feast. Just sweet enough to leave you wanting more. No matter the occasion, Barbalu is GOOD to you!”

“Ordered takeout from Barbalu Brooklyn and was very impressed. The Homemade Squid Ink Tonnarelli Allo Scoglio traveled well and still tasted amazing at home. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the seafood was fresh, and the flavors were rich and well balanced. Even as takeout, the quality was excellent. Will definitely order again!”
