“We arrived at the restaurant a bit late on a Thursday night, just after 9:40 pm, but they still graciously accommodated us. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. The décor beautifully reflects Indian culture, and the ambiance is lively with Bollywood music playing in the background. As for the food, it was fantastic. The Golden Hour drink really stood out, and the Chicken Kali Mirchi from the small plates was delicious. The chicken biryani was exceptional, perfectly balanced with rich flavors and just the right level of spice. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would absolutely return. Highly recommend to visit this restaurant if you are in Times Square.”
“Great Indian food, you won’t be disappointed but also won’t be pleasantly surprised! 1. Had high hopes with Dal Maurya for its 36 hr cooking session but felt like its was just butter and butter. Dish felt more of a butter which had Dal in it and less of a dal which had little butter to enhance its taste! Wouldn’t recommend going with high hopes!! 2. Ambience is great, they play great bollywood remix songs. It’s definitely fun to dine here. Although tables are way too close, which isn’t unique to this place, that’s NYC thing! It’s not cozy and private vibe kinda place for two people as the people sitting next to you could clearly hear your conversation and vice versa! 3. Food quantity is decent, neither too large nor too small portions. Buttery heavy dishes make the moderate quantity feel large! Overall, great place, worth the money!!”
“Dilli Dilli in Times Square was a really good experience overall. The ambiance alone is worth the visit the cocktails are served in a stunning wooden treasure box presentation, very Instagrammable and creative. Food highlights: the Chole Kulcha and Chilli Cheese Toast are absolute must-tries both perfectly executed and full of flavor. The Chilli Cheese Toast in particular is a nostalgic snack elevated to another level, don't skip it. The Dal Maurya (dal makhani) was rich and comforting. The Pistachio Kofta was interesting the texture reminded me of a less sweet gulab jamun, which I liked, though the kofta itself was a bit on the harder side. If you enjoy sweet-leaning gravies, this one's for you. The drinks program is creative and well executed don't skip them either. A solid spot for elevated Delhi-inspired food in the heart of Manhattan. Would definitely go back!”
“Recently tried Dilli Dilli, located right in the heart of Midtown Manhattan near Times Square. It’s a cute little spot, perfect for date nights, with Indian-inspired decor and vibrant green plants that give it a warm, cozy vibe. The food was actually really good — full of authentic New Delhi–style street food flavors, exactly what you’d expect when you visit an Indian restaurant in the middle of Manhattan. What we ordered: Starters: • Dilli Dilli Tikki • Koyla Chicken • Gilafi Paneer Mocktails: • Coconut Dillight • Divine Love Main Course: • Kaju Pista Kofta • Pandara Road Butter Chicken • Roomali Roti • Butter Garlic Naan Every dish we tried was delicious, flavorful, and true to Indian taste. However, I personally felt the portion sizes were quite small for the price. Most dishes had only 3 pieces, and it would be much better if they served 4 pieces — it looks better visually and also justifies the price. Because of the smaller portions, we had to reorder some dishes. Considering the Times Square location, the pricing is understandably a bit high, but the portion size is where I felt they fall short compared to other Indian restaurants in NYC. The wait time was also on the longer side — we waited around 20–30 minutes for our food to arrive. But the presentation was nice, and the staff were extremely welcoming. They kept checking in to make sure we were enjoying everything. The restaurant was full and packed, so it was even hard to take pictures 😄 Overall, I had a great time — lovely service and flavorful dishes. Just wish the portion sizes were a little bigger for the price!”
“Visited for a birthday dinner, and overall, it was an okay experience. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations. We ordered the Kwality Chana Bhatura and the Pandara Road Butter Chicken (BCM). Both dishes were decent, but neither was particularly memorable. If I had to recommend one, I’d go with the Chana Bhatura over the Butter Chicken. The garlic naan was disappointing—it was quite thick and undercooked around the edges. Overall, the meal was average, and while the experience wasn’t bad, it wasn’t one we’d rush back for.”
