It's interesting to come to a spot like this that seems casual, yet the wait staff is monitoring the place like a Michelin star hot spot. The food is SUPERB. The happy hour specials are top notch, but do yourself a favor and get their amazing mole but don't skip their unique and tasty margaritas. What an awesome place.”

“I had such a lovely experience at this Mexican restaurant! The decoration is absolutely beautiful — colorful, warm, and full of charming details that make the place feel really special. 🌺✨ The service was outstanding, especially thanks to Samanta. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive the entire time, making us feel very welcome and well taken care of. Her positive attitude really made the experience even better. The margaritas were delicious — perfectly balanced and super refreshing. And the tres leches dessert was amazing, so soft and flavorful… definitely a must-try! 🍹🍰 Overall, a wonderful place with great food, lovely ambiance, and excellent service. “Came in on a Tuesday night, and I had a great time! Bartender and waitress were phenomenal and the barback kept my water full the whole time! Definitely recommend, however, I went for restaurant week so restaurant week options may not be available in the future.”

“This restaurant has a very open and welcoming atmosphere. Colorful decor and fresh flowers are everywhere. The food here is great, as well. The skirt steak is juicy. Their eggs are fresh. I enjoyed the tortilla chips and red salsa. We had red sangria & a daiquiri, both are well-made. The service is nice, friendly and efficient.”

“I hadn’t been to La Contenta Oeste in a while, but I decided to come back and try it again. The food is still delicious, and I really love their cocktails. they’re some of the best! The service was okay; it might have been a busy time since they forgot to refill our water a few times. Overall, the atmosphere is nice and cozy. I’d still recommend it for great food and drinks in the East Village.”
