“I have been wanting to go to Rolo’s for over a year and they did not disappoint. I think because my expectations were so high a couple dishes I think I would skip next time but everything I had was VERY good, staff was amazing and every dish came out hot & fresh. The MUST order items in my opinion: Burger (Top 5 burger I’ve ever had. The flavor on it was INSANE) Waygu skirt steak Potato wedges “war style” Fried green tomatoes w tuna tartar Non essential: 2 sheet lasagna (kinda controversial but not enough filling for me and that was the best part) Shrimp - all the seasoning is on the shell :/ But I would 100% go again to try more of the menu and especially for that burger 🤤”

“I’m currently starting a series of trying the best and best priced burgers in NYC. I visited Rolo’s to try their exclusive double cheeseburger—just 30 served daily. Topped with caramelized onions, Dijonnais sauce, coppa bacon(3$ add on), and a pickled long hot, it’s a bizarre masterpiece that slept me like if I was in the ring with a prime Mike Tyson, it’s literally one of the most unorthodox burgers I’ve had. I’ve covered most burger ranking lists across NYC, and Rolo’s consistently sits in the top five—personally, I say it’s a guaranteed top three, and right now, my number one in the city. Before it arrived, I had their polenta bread with chili butter, it was saucy, like a vibrant thin pizza. But that burger—paired with their war styled crispy potatoes—it’s a knockout. Juicy, tangy, rich in flavor, unlike anything I’ve tasted and it completely passes the eye test for sure, most importantly wasn’t really greasy at all I mean these burgers are as fresh as can be. For most, one will do, but I couldn’t resist two—this is a heavyweight champion of burgers, and for me, the best in NYC so far. But to reference this burger, if I had to compare it to something personal, it’s like having that one unusual friend who has an odd way of going about life but always somehow comes out on top. TIPS ON LANDING THE BURGER: Got it! So, to keep it super simple and to the point: I arrived at 4:30 and got to the door by 4:45, but that was a Tuesday, the slowest day. If you want to guarantee your burger, aim for 4:55 or 4:50. I was first in line, but just be ready, because people start waiting outside pretty early. If you’re really short on time, get there by 5:40 at the absolute latest, since they open at 5:00. The total I paid for was 77$ post tax with the burgers being 20 dollars each not including the 3 dollar bacon add on.”

“OMG, I have absolutely no regrets about going to this restaurant. Every dish we ordered was incredibly delicious. There were three of us, and we kept saying "wow" the entire time until we finished everything on the table. We originally came for the hamburger, but unfortunately it was sold out. The server mentioned that it usually sells out within one hour, or two hours if you are lucky. Instead, we ordered the lasagna, wagyu beef skirt steak, grilled salt and pepper head-on shrimp, crispy potatoes, and grilled greens. Every single dish was amazing. Even the potatoes were outstanding, and the sauce that came with them was just as good. Now I am even more curious about how good the hamburger is, since this place is known for it. Parking in the area is definitely a challenge, but I would absolutely come back to try more dishes, especially the burger. I also tried the cocktail called "The Carrot Drink." | originally wanted the pandan colada, but it was sold out, and I have no regrets. I would definitely order the carrot drink again. I strongly recommend this place. Thank you for such an amazing meal!”

“Delicious delicious delicious. I’m so glad we decided to dine here on our trip. The food was phenomenal. I don’t think there is a bad thing on the menu. The tortellini and the lasagna were so good. The fish was fresh and so yummy. The polenta bread with the chili butter was so good and the mortadella was delish as well.”

“Came here for the burger, was not blown away. I think a lot of reviewers came here for the same reason that I did - the double cheeseburger. Tried it, and I truly do not think that it is worth the hype. It is a good burger, but nothing that justifies the trip from Manhattan. I came here hoping that this burger will dethrone Minetta, but alas, it is just a good burger, not a great one. The polenta and the crab were the stand-outs for me. I would rate both of these higher than their burger. The worst item on the menu was definitely the wagyu steak. They served it for brunch as a salad, and the flavor of the steak was completely covered by the bitterness of the leaves and the cheese. I would rate it zero out of ten. Truly one of the worst crimes against beef. Overall, good place, but would not go back again.”
