Sarisa Café is New York’s first and only Thai dessert café. It’s a charming establishment adorned with warm hues and traditional Thai accents. Its inviting ambiance welcomes guests with a blend of modernity and cultural richness. The aroma of sweet, aromatic delicacies fills the air, enticing patrons to indulge in a symphony of traditional Thai flavors. Intricate Thai desserts, elegantly presented, are the stars of the menu, showcasing the artistry and finesse of Thai culinary traditions. The cafe's friendly staff and soothing background music create a relaxed atmosphere, inviting patrons to savor every moment of their sweet culinary journey. Sarisa Café is named after my deceased mother Sarisa and exudes a heartfelt warmth that transcends its physical space. It carries an aura of love and remembrance, a tribute to her enduring spirit. The decor is a blend of her favorite colors and elements that resonate with her personality. There is original painting of hers that adorn the walls with her signature. The atmosphere is serene, inviting patrons to linger, just as she would have welcomed guests into her home. The menu is crafted with her favorite recipes, each dish a testament to her culinary prowess. It's a place where her memory lives on through every cup of tea or coffee and every bite of thoughtfully made desserts, creating a sense of connection for those who enter.
“Warm, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere. 😊 The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very charming. The Thai desserts are not overly sweet, and each one is thoughtfully presented and beautifully crafted. ✨”
“Very good place for afternoon tea. If you order large tea pot they can refill it for you. The desserts are not overly sweet at all, very well balanced. If you are coconut lover you must try.”
“I had an excellent afternoon tea for two here. I was specifically looking for a place that was reasonably priced and wasn't too filling, and this place was perfect. There was a menu that described each item, although the server also explained everything in detail once the desserts came out, including the best order in which to enjoy them. The desserts were beautiful and delicious — a lot of coconut and pandan flavors which I love — and nothing overly sweet. Everything was arranged adorably on a three-tier stand with enough for each person to try each individual pastry. The ambiance was nice and peaceful. It felt like discovering a hidden gem in the city. The service was also great. I'd definitely come back.”
“Really beautiful Thai dessert Cafe. The desserts were good but not impressive. But I'll come back for their reservation only afternoon tea set and may update my review later”
“Beautiful pieces of art disguised as desserts, I definitely recommend the afternoon tea set. It comes with 9 desserts and tea. Each dessert had its unique texture and flavors, though there were common motifs. Love coconut, so I enjoyed the pastries a lot. My friend was not a fan of savory coconut, which was difficult because there were many coconut flavors. Atmosphere was gorgeous, beautifully decorated!”
