“Kanella is a fantastic find! It’s a cute, quiet spot that has a great energy once it picks up. The "small plates" actually come in very satisfying portions. The Food: • Shepherd’s Salad: Refreshing and fresh. • Seared Halloumi: A must-order! Eat it while it’s warm to enjoy how the flavors melt together. • Adana Kebab: Tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. • Baklava: A classic, delicious finish. The service was excellent even as they got busy. Slavjanka took great care of us, and the rest of the team was quick to assist. Highly recommend!”

“We tried the tasting menu and overall it was a really nice experience. For appetizers, the Muhammara was excellent—rich, flavorful, and definitely a highlight. The cheese rolls were okay, nothing special, and the kibbeh was a bit underwhelming. The seared halloumi, however, stood out—it was very flavorful, and the addition of apricot and dates was a really nice, well-balanced flavor. For mains, we got the ribeye cap (served as beef cubes with pilav rixe), which was really good—well-cooked and flavorful. We also tried the levrek (fish), which was just okay in comparison and didn’t stand out much. For dessert, the kunafeh was really good and a great way to end the meal. The baklava, on the other hand, was disappointing, honestly one to stay away from. Overall, a solid tasting menu with some standout dishes, especially on the appetizer and dessert side.”

“Kanella Grill is hands down one of the best Greek restaurants I’ve tried in Philly. I can’t lie everything was amazing. The menu has a beautiful mix of Greek with Turkish and Mediterranean influences, and you can taste the quality in every dish. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything was flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. If it’s your first time trying Greek food, this place will not disappoint at all. I would 100% recommend it.”
