“I celebrated my birthday at The Wolf in Oakland, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The steak dinner was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily one of the best steaks I’ve had in Oakland. The quality of the food, attention to detail, and presentation exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place for a special occasion. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helped make my birthday dinner feel extra memorable. From the appetizers to the main course and drinks, everything was top-notch. If you’re looking for a great steak restaurant in Oakland for a date night, birthday celebration, or special dinner, I highly recommend The Wolf. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“Solid spot serving seasonal fare. Pickletini and the don’t call my name Cilantro were some standout drinks. Panko Halibut was fire. Steak was tender and the butter really elevated the dish. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Server had solid suggestions and was well-informed of the menu. Will definitely be back to try the burg.”

“We had dinner at 8pm on a Thursday night and the restaurant was packed to the gills, which made for a lively, fun atmosphere. Food was better than I expected and the fried octopus was fantastic!! Popover, however, was very dry and definitely not worth $7 for a single popover. Burger was tasty and cooked well, but the fries that came with it were overcooked, dry and tasteless. I didn't taste the halibut, but it looked like it was cooked well. What really made our night was the friendly, warm service we received from our server, especially since we had a very modest tab on a very busy night. I can't recall his name, but he's studying civil engineering at SF State. We bonded over the fact my nephew graduated from SF State that day and came to dinner with his cap and gown.”

“It's an American fusion semi-fine restaurant with full bar and good variety of cuisines and drinks. Food was fresh, delicious and presentable. Bar seats, indoor and patio/terrace seating. Small private room available for events. Parking is a bit challenge but still plenty in street parking, parking lots. Great for date night and occasions. Not good with kids. Steps up entry not easily accessible. Walk-in OK mostly at the bar so reservation recommended for tables and waiters.”
