Danny's Pizza Tavern

“I visited on a weekend evening, and the restaurant was completely full. Fortunately, the turnover seemed quite fast, and we were seated without having to wait very long. The restaurant is fairly small, and the tables are positioned quite close together. I ordered the pepperoni pizza, and it was excellent. The hot honey dipping sauce and garlic sauce were both delicious and complemented the pizza perfectly. The pizza is served in square-cut slices, which made it easy to eat and share. We sat at the bar, and it was fun to watch the pizzas being baked in the oven. The mozzarella sticks were another highlight — crispy on the outside and perfectly gooey on the inside. The male bartender was professional and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back.”

“My friend and I came across the place and the food looked so good, we had to try it! The go-to is pizza but we wanted to try something different so we got the "green lasagna" with bolognese sauce.. and it was soooooooo good! If you're a fan of lasagnas, you must add this one to the list of must-try in Toronto 👏🏻 the portion was generous and the sauce was so yummy!”

“I tried the Caesar salad and it was okay. nothing bad, but not something I’d order again. The pizza however, was excellent. I went with the mushroom pizza this time and really enjoyed it. Great crust, well balanced cheese, and solid flavor overall. Next time, I’ll definitely try the pepperoni. Nice cozy vibe as well. A good spot if you’re in the mood for pizza.”

“Definitely worth a visit in Little Italy area! I love the tavern pizza, but this time I ordered the burger since I’ve heard great things about it! It did not disappoint. Ordered it medium - was perfect. The right amount of toppings and the bun held up and tasted fresh. The fries were good - not sure if you’d call them match stick or shoe string, but good and crisp… and no coating! I like the picked peppers & ketchup that came with the burger as well. Save room for dessert! So many good items on the menu! $25 burger/$3.50 pop”

“I recently tried the mushroom pizza here, and it was one of the best dough I’ve ever tasted in Toronto. The flavors were incredibly rich, and pairing it with their house chili oil really took it to the next level. ​We also tried the mozzarella sticks—they were near perfect, though a little extra spice or kick would have made them elite. The cocktails were great and well-crafted. ​Only minor note is that the menu is a tiny bit pricey considering the space is small and can feel quite crowded, but the quality of the food definitely speaks for itself.”
