Yonge and Eglinton, Toronto, ON · $$
Little Sister Yonge St is an Indonesian restaurant in the Yonge and Eglinton neighborhood of Toronto.
“New favourite spot in midtown. Food was delicious - try the beef spring rolls, war fries, fried rice and chicken main dish! A very solid espresso martini too. Service was impeccable, it was a small and intimate atmosphere and I plan to come back again and again.”
“Stopped in for a quick snack before heading out for the night. Had drink and a few dishes upstairs in their cocktail bar. It’s a cute vibe. Great for a date. The pork belly was really good and the rice was a nice filler item. I don’t drink alcohol but the drinks that were coming out of the bar looked really delicious.”
“I've been here a few times, the food is unbelievable. We had the fried chicken, Indonesian rice, watermelon salad, chicken satay, war frites and pork belly bites. The happy hour is great it's from 5-6:30 and really good prices! I also had the All Gone Peach Tong cocktail which was lovely. My favourite cocktail would be Little Brother. tonight we were in the hands of the fabulous Michael. Thank you for taking care of us!”
“I recently had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere and vibe were fantastic—cozy and positive, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The manager was very welcoming, and the entire staff treated us exceptionally well. They frequently checked in, offered food and drink recommendations, and made us feel right at home. The food was outstanding—super delicious, spicy, and incredibly fresh. The quality was top-notch, and every dish we tried was bursting with flavor. Overall, from the inviting ambiance to the attentive service and high-quality cuisine, this restaurant exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend!”
“If the prices were not so high, I would probably give 4 stars. However, portion sizes are very small, which leaves sort of a bad impression in comparison with the prices. The best dishes we tried were the smoked pork belly and the chicken satay. The pork belly was fall-apart tender, and had a nice Smokey flavour. The chicken satay was pretty classic with an addicting satay sauce. The tacos were very average, though the beef rendang is ever so slightly better. The Nasi Goreng tasted quite bland and like regular fried rice seasoned with soy sauce….not sure one could call this actual Nasi goreng. Finally, we opted to try their desserts and went with the coconut pudding which I really wasn’t a fan of. It tasted almost too fragrant and had a slight alcoholic aftertaste…That may just be a personal preference though.”
