“A late post but we went for valentines and had an Incredible meal! 💖 Service and ambiance are really good for a date night. See if you can snag a spot at the bar as you can see the food being prepped! They change their menu, so I’ve heard mixed reviews from friends, but I had a good experience 🫶🏻”
“Small cozy restaurant with great vibes. Their food was great but just on pricy side. Waitress Seung Min (korean) was excellent. Her recommendation of sake and food was tailored to what I like. She was kind and attentive. My favourite dish was the kanpachi with a bunch of different flavours. They have a good selection of Sake you usually wouldn’t find else where. Small compact menu. I like the vibe.”
“Food was super yummy. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with the delicious smell of warm cooked fish. Definitely a fish heavy menu. The miso aged mackerel was both of our favorites! It was the least fishy mackerel I've ever had. Highly recommend. The only dish that we could have passes on was the trout but it wasn't bad just did not blow me away like the other dishes. Overall this was better than some of the Michelin restaurants I've visited.”
“I had a good experience overall, but it didn’t fully stand out. What this restaurant does well is letting the natural flavors of the ingredients shine. The food tastes clean and well-seasoned, but most dishes feel quite one-dimensional. It’s good in a simple way, but I found myself wanting more depth or something a bit more unique in the seasoning. The sake selection was excellent and definitely a highlight. That said, the overall experience feels a bit overpriced for what you get. It’s not somewhere I’d go casually on a regular basis, but it also doesn’t feel special enough to choose for a special occasion. The food is served sharing-style, but comes out more like courses, and the timing felt off. Some dishes arrived at unexpected moments, and one of the pickle dishes was forgotten and came at the very end. It would have paired much better with the chicken or Wagyu. Overall, the food is good, but not particularly memorable.”
“i’d say you won’t be disappointed but also not surprised. it’s a cute japanese spot with a lovely atmosphere, the dishes were very fish forward with limited alternative seafood options, mostly cooked vs raw, and complex flavor fusions. the salt fish dish was way too salty, the miso soup impossible without some rice, and generally things were more salty than necessary. the dashi in the chicken wings were actually decent and really refreshing, thickened with daikon. beautiful ceramics throughout the course!”
