“We ordered takeout and have eaten here before. Great for dogs in the patio area. Great for groups or solo diners. Any takeout entree order provides the chips and salsa on the house that you get when you dine in, which is a very nice touch! Delicious pork and beans sides with the entrees too.”
“The veggie, fried chicken, and Al Pastor tacos were all delicious, and the happy hour margaritas were a perfect match. The place has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, making it great for groups or a relaxed evening out. Service was quick and friendly, and the overall vibe was welcoming. Definitely a great spot for tacos and margaritas in happy hour from 3-6pm Fridays!!”
“Nice happy hours deals and the margaritas were good! The place is huge and full of customers. The tacos were delicious! We will be back for sure.”
“Stopped in for an after shopping snack and it was a enormous. Order the Del Mar which is the Beef fajitas for one plus 3 giant bacon wrapped shrimp. It was a massive plate as were the shrimp. Those were honestly my favorite. The bacon was chrisp and the shrimp moist and succulent. They were over cooked but in all fairness. The bacon needed to be crippling, which is was and the plate it hot so it continues to cook. They were still my favorite. #BaconEverything The steak was supposed to be medium but I didn't mind that it was medium well. It was a great cut however the seasoning was lacking. It came with the traditional toppings but I opted for sour cream on the side too. I love a good resturant grade salas but theirs is flat. It needed some more seasoning. The portion was ample and enough for 2 of us to share. The tortillas are almost like gorditas or papoosas they're so big. I had to cut mine. I didn't love it but didn't hate it either. Its definitely for a croud that wants Main stream Texmex. I love authentic with a Tia in the kitchen and abuela giving orders.”
“I visited Cactus Cantina recently, and overall it was a mixed experience. I ordered the crunchy tacos, which were good, but the beans and rice were pretty basic and didn’t have much flavor. I also ordered two scoops of guacamole it was really tasty and fresh, but for the price, it didn’t feel like it was quite worth it. One of my friends got the crab quesadilla and absolutely loved it, while my other friend ordered the enchiladas and said they were some of the best she’s ever had so the food seems to depend on what you order. The chips were nice and crisp, but the salsa tasted a bit off almost like it was made with green tomatoes or something slightly under ripe. It wasn’t my favorite. The margaritas were good (I had a frozen one, and my friend tried a mixed version), but unfortunately, mine gave me a bad headache afterward something that doesn’t usually happen to me. Service was very friendly, and the staff was attentive throughout our meal. However, the restaurant isn’t very ADA friendly. To get to the bathrooms, you have to go down two flights of stairs, which could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues unless there’s an accessible restroom somewhere I didn’t see. Overall, it’s a lively spot with great service, but the food was hit or miss and fairly basic in flavor. ⭐ My Overall Rating: 3.5/5 Friendly service and fun atmosphere, but uneven flavors, pricey portions, and limited accessibility.”
