“They need to add more stars! Six visits in five years and we can't wait to return. It's our favorite place to hike and chill and enjoy a good fire. Fabulous food and service, accomodating menus and cozy rooms. We always enjoy meeting new folks, and often see folks from previous visits. Nice to visit a place and be on a first name basis. You should go and see the views!”

“The Swag was an all-timer. My wife and I traveled from the Midwest - from the moment we traveled up the 2.5 mile winding driveway, until we left 2 days later, everything was outstanding. The amenities in our room were 5 star, the food was magnificent and the staff was welcoming and kind. Sandra and Benji in the dining room made us feel at home, and resident hosts Doug and Kathy were amazing. The access to the national park and all the little things (swag bars for dessert!) were so well thought out by the staff. We will be back.”

“We've yet to find a better place to completely rest, relax and unwind than The Swag Resort in North Carolina. It would be a challenge to find a more peacefully beautiful setting. The staff and many of the guests are the same year after year so you get to know and enjoy each other. From the greetings on your arrival to the "see you next time" at your departure your every need is met with a warm eagerness. Your most difficult decision is choosing your meal selections. At times that can be difficult because they all promise to be better than the last. The chefs take great care and pride in curating their daily menus and tend to show out each morning and evening to our benefit and delight. We immediately start the countdown to our next stay the moment we leave the property. Do yourself a favor and try to find an opening to enjoy this wonderfully unique, elevated experience.
