Greenvale Vineyards - Portsmouth

“Admittedly, Greenvale has been one of my favorite vineyards in the Newport area for years. What I love the most about it is the relaxing vibe. You can do a tasting, order a bottle, and bring your own food to set up on the patio, lawn or in the stable for a picnic. Some days there is a food truck onsite as well. Depending on the vintage year, my favorite wine tends to change. This year, I really liked the Vidal Blanc. It was aromatic and crisp, perfectly refreshing for a warm day. At times on the weekends, they will have live music, so it’s a great place to hang out with friends. Also, for my fellow dog moms, our furry babies are allowed here (human babies as well!). They have an event space in the farm/stable building and they recently built a new facility for wine production. We have been here during all seasons and it truly never disappoints! Lentz_explore”

The wines were unique and we really liked the ones we chose for our tasting. You can bring your own snacks to accompany your wine and there is plenty of seating inside and outside. Bonus points for being dog friendly and that the owners’ dog, Willa comes over and says hello to you!”
