“I (mostly) enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich very much. The atrium is beautiful and the overall attention to detail is high quality. The staff are friendly and professional. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well appointed. I did have one unpleasant experience with the pool. I had some time to take a break and decided to go for a swim. I arrived at the pool around 330 on a Tuesday afternoon and discovered that it was being used for children's swim lessons. The pool area is not that big and it was full of kids learning to swim and their parents watching. To be clear, these were not families staying at the hotel. The level of noise and number of people in the pool area made it impossible to relax. As a paying hotel guest, I was disappointed that I could not enjoy the pool even for a quick swim.”
“There are hotels you visit—and then there are places that remind you what true hospitality is supposed to feel like. The Greenwich Hyatt is exactly that. The atrium alone is absolutely stunning—grand, elegant, and beautifully maintained in a way that feels both impressive and welcoming. It’s one of those spaces that makes you pause for a moment and take it all in. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the service. It is, without question, five-star. Every interaction feels thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely warm. The staff goes above and beyond in a way that feels natural, not forced—something that’s increasingly rare. It’s easy to forget just how special this hotel is until you experience it again. A timeless property that continues to deliver excellence on every level. Highly recommend.”
“We loved our 3rd stay at this hotel. From the moment we checked in at the front desk, Pamela was amazing and so accommodating. The hotel is beautiful and luxurious. The food at the restaurant was good but service was a little slow. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we can't wait to go back.”
“We visited the Hyatt Regency today using a Day Pass via Resort Pass. While the check-in process was smooth and welcoming, our experience at the pool was initially very frustrating. Upon arrival, we found a third-party swim school occupying a large portion of the pool. There were two instructors and several young children, and as my kids were getting in, the instructors rudely told them they could only use one section of the pool. What was most off-putting was that the instructors seemed to prefer talking down to my children rather than addressing me directly as the parent. When I did get their attention to ask for their schedule, I was met with further rudeness and told they are there Monday through Friday until 6:00 PM. It was disappointing to find out that the pool is essentially "reserved" during the week without any prior warning on the booking site. I also felt for the hotel guests who are paying full price and can’t fully enjoy the amenities they expect all week. However, I want to give a massive shout-out to Michael, the Director of Finance. I went to discuss the situation with him, and he was absolutely fantastic. He listened to my concerns, acknowledged the issue, and took immediate action to turn our bad experience around. He truly went above and beyond to make things right for my family. If you are booking a weekday pass, be aware of the swim school schedule. Despite the initial encounter at the pool, Michael’s professionalism and commitment to guest satisfaction turned it into a fabulous experience.”
“The 2 overall stars are for the beautiful lobby, which mimics a peaceful resort, and one of the kind ladies at the front desk. That's it. I'll start with the rude valet parking attendant. When we pulled up right in front of the hotel to unload our luggage, we inquired about parking and he said there is nowhere to park but the hotel. We thanked him and said we would look around, and he immediately became smug, then made sure to meet us at the front desk for check-in to see to it that we did not park in their back lot for free. It was uncalled for, unwelcoming, and extremely rude. It felt like we were being followed around and reprimanded for trying to save $25/day. The rooms are not great. The lighting is so dim, it was impossible to get ready for the wedding we had in town. Truly, if you have an event, do NOT stay here. It was incredibly frustrating. We were also given horrible little decor pillows to sleep on and such a thin blanket that we thought they'd only given us a sheet. Though, the front desk clerk was super nice about this and corrected it immediately with extra blankets and proper pillows. If you're looking for an upscale hotel with warm staff that makes you feel as though they're happy to have you there, book somewhere else. If you don't care and just want a nice lobby to hang out in and a good-enough location to your event, then this will do fine.”
