We are a family owned and operated neighborhood Italian Restaurant providing a sense of community to our neighborhood triangle of Forest Hills, Wakefield and Chevy Chase, DC We are "Italian Italian" as they say here in the states with owner Massimo Papetti hailing from Rome, Italy and his wife Carolyn having lived there for eight years. We proudly offer two sides of our menu celebrating both Italian American and Italian Italian cuisine. All pasta is made in house, all ingredients are of the highest integrity and quality and all plates (save our chicken parmesan from the Italian American side of our menu) are "human sized" and not Maggiano's sized. We serve quality over quantity and offer a fabulous quality price ratio with every bite.
“Update*****May 1st**** in celebration of Italian Labor Day, they hosted a fun, family friendly party last night. It was so fun and the music and food were great. It’s so nice to have a family run restaurant to go to. Another great meal at one of favorite neighborhood restaurants. Homemade pasta is always a winner.”
“Had a fantastic birthday dinner at I’m Eddie Cano. The food was delicious and exactly the right amount. The atmosphere was lively and charming while still allowing for conversation. Massimo was so welcoming and took great care of us. Definitely coming back!”
“Lovely Italian restaurant in Chevy Chase. I had the squid ink linguine which was delightful. Slightly earthy and combined with lobster tail, it makes for a great wine pairing. Others at the table had the spigola, expertly seared with crisp skin and tender flesh. The spaghetti alle vongole was a perfect portion dish with fresh clams in a refined garlic and white wine sauce. Overall very impressed and will be back.”
“My husband and I dine here every Sunday evening. The menu changes with the seasons, giving me the opportunity to enjoy a new pasta favorite several times a year. (My husband always orders the same dish.) We start with cocktails, and Massimo makes a wonderful martini. They recently fancied up their seating, which is now both comfy and stylish. The wait staff (in addition to Massimo, an owner) are always friendly and welcoming.”
“My friends and I had dinner here last week. Our drinks and appetizers were great, but none of us liked our entrées. My carbonara was too salty and my friend's risotto was too bland. She actually had to ask the server for salt and pepper, which they forgot to bring out to us. They also tried to take our plates away when we weren't done eating, which we all found very odd. Our dessert was good and the venue is lovely. I'm torn about returning!”
