“Sumptuous, manicured and curated gardens with a gorgeous old manor dating back a couple of centuries. Arriving by bike allows a moment to slow down and enjoy the surrounding vineyards, mountain views and pastures. The surprise tour of the hedgerow labyrinth reminds you what feeling like a whimsical child used to be. Can you find the clues within? And can you find your way back out again? The wine tasting and classy chill vibe topped off a perfect moment where time seemed to stand still, and for a Friday early evening, what a perfect way to launch into the weekend. Not to be missed! Booking in advance required and very reasonable at CHF 30: certain dates only and NOT during “Caves Ouvertes” (garden tour not possible during this extremely popular annual event in the canton of Geneva). Suitable for manageable children from 7 years and up. Mostly flat but wear confortable shoes and expect to walk and meander the grounds on this guided tour, so some degree of mobility is required. Thank you for a wonderful moment slowing down in the Geneva countryside.🍷🪴⛲️🏡”
“An exceptional place that's truly worth a visit. The garden tour was fascinating and I left with a few helpful tips. I also absolutely loved the estate's wines. I'm looking forward to returning to La Gara to share this enchanting spot and its products with my wine-loving friends and family.”
“A magical, rejuvenating place where you feel wonderfully at ease! The gardens are magnificent, the vineyards too, and what can I say about the wines 🍷 made by a winemaker as passionate as she is fascinating. A truly special moment guaranteed!”
“A warm welcome, delicious wine.”
“The other day, we were here for a wine tasting experience. The winery is located in a historical room of the La Gara Estate. The owner of the winery had very well organised and prepared for the wine tasting of our group. There was enough place, and various tables were laid out with different excellent cut cheeses as well as tomatoes and some charcuterie. It was nice to be there for the wine tasting. We tasted 4 wines, and each wine was introduced to us with a brief talk. We liked the most the first wine we tasted, which was their chasselas. During the event, one can buy the wine as well. Overall, it was a good experience and recommendable as an end of afternoon activity. Well worth the fee.”
