“We had the most amazing time at Mayacamas. Our exceptional guide, Fernando, started our tour by taking us around the property on a UTV for some history, an overview of their farming techniques and philosophy, and some unbelievable views. The view from the peak is possibly the most beautiful view I’ve ever seen with my own eyes. Then the wines. Oh, the wines. We felt spoiled—we got to try an ‘03, an ‘06, and a ‘21 cab as well as their newest vintages of Chardonnay and Merlot. Everything was stellar and delivered a truly old world taste that few in Napa can replicate. The older vintages of cab were among the most special wines I’ve had in my life. This is one of the most unique and special experiences not only that we’ve had in Napa, but in food and beverage period.”
“David Tijero the hospitality director completely made the most magical beautiful experience for us — we loved the wine, animals, and atv —- the interior design and big windows were amazing the historic oak wine barrels felt like we were in a museum, beautiful to know for getting there: recommend having the most confident driver in your group be behind the wheel to get there, windy roads/spotty service to get there, I went with my love Max and he’s a very good driver but I’d be nervous on my own —- Incredibly luxury and views once arrive and well worth the adventure to up the mountain p.s.s. art collection of the owners is wonderful and they even have a Kosher wine option for Passover, very special”
“We loved Mayacamas! Nathan, our host, was awesome —warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly passionate. He made us feel completely at home, even though it was our first time visiting. Each pour of wine was unique, you can tell there's something special about the way they craft their wines here. And the views... absolutely breathtaking. Taking in the mountains and vineyards was calming, beautiful, and exactly what we needed on our weekend in Napa. This is not just a tasting, it’s an experience. 10/10 recommend and visit again. If you’re in Napa, Mayacamas is a must.”
“This was our first winery stop on our first trip to Napa and we couldn’t have picked a better place to kick off our weekend! This winery didn’t come up in my research but was last minute recommended by a friend and I’m SO GLAD we could get a tasting reservation. It was by far the top winery we went to. Here are the highlights… and there’s a lot! - drive up the mountain - gate entrance was dreamy! - greeting from David our sommelier - the grounds - the weather ended up being so gorgeous we could see San Francisco in the distance - ATV ride up to our first tasting - I learned here I love Chardonnay - final tasting we got some privacy to enjoy just the two of us - the knowledge David shared with us and his genuine care for our questions and interest in what he was sharing with us SO many highlights but truly David made our entire trip. We couldn’t stop talking about Mayacamas! I do wish we could’ve had one more tasting outside on the gorgeous patio but that’s my only note! Thank you all for an amazing time! Highly recommend. Worth the drive. Worth the price.”
“We only scheduled 2 wine tastings for our short weekend trip in Napa and this was one of them. The winery is high up in the hills and getting there involved a lot of twisty turny roads which is something to consider if you get easily car sick. Upon arrival we were introduced to our guide and offered the use of the restroom before proceeding to our RV tour. They take you further up the mountains and to a scenic view point to talk about the vineyard and sip some wine. Afterwards we went back down to the main building to tour the cask room and try some additional wines. Overall a neat and different wine tasting experience.”
