“The winery is modern and beautiful. Tasting room is sunny and bright but they also have an outdoor area/patio which is really nice. The tasting is relatively inexpensive compared to other wineries and people are friendly and knowledgeable. My friends were beginners and they answered all the questions with respect (not expecting them to have prior knowledge). We got a quick tour of the vineyard and the concrete tanks. They only use concrete, steel and neutral oak tanks. They focus on fruit forward wines. These are consumer friendly wines that are made for consumption, not collecting. Prices are very reasonable. I found the experience very enjoyable. You don't have to have a lot of prior knowledge to enjoy the tasting but if you want to get wine geeky, the staff have the knowledge to satisfy your expectations.”

“Different take on wine. Non traditional aging in concrete. Focus on the grapes. Flavours are good but much more subtle. Enjoyed the Narrative wines the most. Charcuterie was a nice blend to add to flavour.”

“Had such a lovely evening at Haywire Winery’s Soup & Stews Night! The atmosphere was warm and cozy, the wine tasting was fantastic, and the staff were so welcoming. I even left with some of their culinary lavender and made the most delicious lavender shortbread today. A perfect night out—highly recommend!”

“Great wine tasting experience at Haywire Winery today! We each had different flights and staff had good knowledge of their products which are fermented in concrete, not the usual oak barrels. They explained some of the processes to us, too, right at the concrete vats. Our favourite wine was the Narrative Cabernet Franc 2019. We also tasted their Narrative Gin and found it full of wonderful botanical flavours - so we had to buy 2 bottles. Highly recommend Haywire Winery if you’re in the Summerland area!”
