“My family and I had a lovely time celebrating my birthday at Tre Tassi. Starting with the bread and olive oil it was all fantastic! One of my favorite Caesar salads. The gnocchi special was a great recommendation by our server. Finished our drinks outside enjoying the sunset glow. We will be back!”
“A hidden gem worth every minute of the drive Osteria Tre Tassi is the kind of place that reminds you why Italian food, done right, is so hard to beat. From the moment we sat down, the warm, airy dining room with its open views of the surrounding greenery set a tone that was relaxed but special. The pasta is the star here, and deservedly so. House-made, beautifully textured, and sauced with real intention. But don’t overlook the steak which was perfectly executed and elevated by vegetables that were nothing short of remarkable. What makes them stand out? They’re grown right on the property, in the restaurant’s own back garden. The freshness is unmistakable and speaks to a genuine commitment to quality that you don’t often find. A special mention for Joey at the bar, his Old Fashioneds were exceptional. Well-balanced, not over-sweetened, and exactly what a classic cocktail should be. The kind of drink that makes you order a second without hesitation. That said, this is a five-star experience by any measure. Osteria Tre Tassi has earned its reputation, and then some.”
“Love the lobster dish. It’s just perfect. Asked for side of veggies and side of melted butter. Both bottles of wine were great and our cocktails were made perfect. At the end we were comped a digestive. Loved it and enjoyed chatting with the chef. Sf food has nothing on him. Excellent service too!”
“Went there for a January pop-up night. I went with some girl friends and we were seated at the loviest table right next to the fireplace, sooo cozy!! The ambiance was magical, with a musician playing relaxing guitar in the bar area. For the meal, we went all out, starting the night with delicious espresso martinis + appetizers, followed by sharing a beautiful bottle of red from their thoughtfully curated wine list. We got one of each of the Neapolitan style pizzas. They were impressively executed as well as being perfectly sized. I will be dreaming about my Margherita pizza until i can have it again. Finally, we ordered one of each of the desserts, which were presented gorgeously and tasted even better. I liked that they were not overly sweet, like so many desserts tend to be. We paired the dessert with some delightful prosecco, and ended the meal with some Italian bitters. We could not have asked for a better server, she was so sweet! All around, a perfect night out for ladies night!”
“11/1/2025 - 5 stars again! On a skeleton crew they made amazing drinks, focaccia, salads, pasta, and fish. The lemon cake stole the show and we were lucky enough to have Ian as our server again! LOVE!! *** 7/7/2025 update: 5 stars. Superb drinks, service, and food. We loved our drinks, the caseracce, the whitefish, and the cannoli, but the pistachio stole the show. Our server - Ian - was superb! Thanks ! *** This is a 4.5! We were delighted to eat here after it replaced the Wickman House, which are huge shoes to fill. Fortunately, they have decided to be themselves and have done a great job at it! The food is the star of the show and it’s excellent. It’s fresh, flavorful, not salty, and mostly locally sourced. Standouts were the focaccia bread, Romana salad, and Fagiola Alla Toscana. In particular, the dressing on the salad, and the pasta noodles were outstanding and among the best I’ve ever had. The whitefish piccata also was very good - it was fresh and not over seasoned, so the locally sourced whitefish was allowed to shine. We also loved the cannoli. The service was spectacular. We initially were sat at a table in the bar, which was bustling and too loud for our taste. It really looked like a fun setting, but just wasn’t what we wanted that evening. They immediately moved us without any fuss to another table in the dining room, which we really appreciated. Our server, Eli, was fun friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent. The only disappointment were the drinks. The Italian brandy old-fashioned tasted like a good Wisconsin supper club old-fashioned, which is a compliment, but it didn’t taste special or “Italian.“ Similarly, the Siciliano tasted like gin and lemon juice - without the flavor of Galliano or pistachio. Because lemon juice isn’t listed on the menu we actually thought we got the wrong drink. The White Negroni was superb as was the after dinner limoncello.”
