“Had a great experience at Papa Bro’s Steakhouse. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was really nice. Our waitress did a fantastic job and was attentive throughout the meal. We also appreciated that we were seated not long after our reservation time. The portions were generous, and overall it was a really enjoyable dinner. We’ll definitely be back!”
“WE WERE WRONG and they treated us like we were right. Ordered a ribeye and when it came out (perfectly cooked) it looked like a strip or a maybe a sirloin, just… not marbled and juicy like I normally expect ribeye. Alerted our waitress and they quickly had the manager table side. Manager explained that this was a ribeye but perhaps from the leaner end of the cut. No matter, they were already working to replace it with a juicier ribeye and redo all of the sides, no questions asked, just so that everything came out hot together again. Could we wait just a moment? Sure, one more round of perfectly executed cocktails and we had another set of delicious sides (potatoes au gratin and absolutely perfect asparagus) to go with a much juicier ribeye. Finished off the meal with decadent dessert and some truly delicious port. But the kicker was that they gave us the “wrong” steak and our first round of sides in the to-go bag. Couldn’t ask for better service, truly appreciate the care and attention that helped make a celebratory evening special. Hats off to Pappas Bros, we’ll be back.”
“If you’re looking for a true high-end steakhouse experience in Houston, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse absolutely delivers. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels elevated—classic, refined, and unmistakably luxurious without being stuffy. The bar set the tone right away. The bartender nailed a proper dirty vodka tonic (which, let’s be honest, is rarer than it should be), and the blue cheese–stuffed olives? Game over. So good. We had a large group, and they handled it like pros. Everything was seamless—from service to timing—and having a private, pre-selected menu made the whole experience feel curated and effortless. Every dish that came out was consistently delicious, no weak links. Bottom line: top-tier service, incredible food, and an experience that feels worth the splurge. Definitely a go-to for special occasions… or when you just want to remind yourself you’ve got good taste 😉”
“We were warmly greeted and taken to our table by Catherine. She is lovely. Welcoming, friendly and professional. She wished us a happy anniversary, which was a nice touch. We were celebrating our 32 anniversary. We’ve lived in Houston area for 20+ years but somehow have not dined at Pappas Steak. We saw Chris Shepherd loves it and decided it was anniversary worthy! The food was outstanding. We are foodies. My favorite places has been Steak 48, Brennen’s and maestros. This is by far the best steak I’ve had. My hubby and I agreed. Amazing. The sides were good, although I do love 48’s crème brûlée corn. We had the au gratin potatoes. And crab cakes. We also had few cocktails and wine. All were lovely. Leslie was our server. She was attentive without hovering. I’d ask for her for our next visit because her service could not have been better. She’s an asset to PS. Big shoutout to Angel, Carlos and Alberto for keeping our water glasses filled, clearing our table and boxing our food. These 3 gentlemen were professional and very good. Very. The only negative is we were seated in the back room and it had a TV. Baseball game. And 2 other tables were cheering and color-commentating the game. We are Astro fans. But this was our anniversary so it was not romantic. That was a bummer.”
“Food and service was excellent. Reservation made for 545pm and it was packed when we arrived. Started with 4 oz of the a5 wagyu, tender and served on a salt block which added to great flavor. Next, ordered the octopus carpaccio which was tender, very hard to get with octopus! We shared the filet duo, and were so full we didn't finish it, but the meat was cooked perfectly medium rare, and it was still really good the next time we heated it at home. We received an anniversary dessert, which was very nice of them! Everyone made our first meal here feel special. Alex was our server and he was great! Will definitely consider coming back for other special occasions.”
