“Parlor has perfected their moisture content to create an incredible crust. Chewy and crispy perfection. Add an awesome San Marzano sauce with superb Italian sausage and you have one of the best Neopolitan pizzas in town. The only knock is the flop and pools of sauce that throw pizza out of proportion, but it's still a hell of a pie. My wife had the French toast and she said it was the best she's ever had.”
“Recently visited Pizza Parlor Bar in the West Loop while I was in Chicago celebrating my best friend’s birthday. After a very unsuccessful mile-and-a-half walk around the city trying to find somewhere for our group to eat during all the FIFA festivities, we finally got on the waitlist here and were able to get a table for about eight people. From the moment we sat down, our waiter was amazing. The restaurant was packed, but you would have never known it by the way he took care of us. He kept checking on our table, made great recommendations for both food and drinks, got every order right, and never once complained despite how busy things were. He even joked with us about our struggle to find a place to eat and was genuinely happy we ended up there. Unfortunately, I can’t remember his name, and I hate that because he absolutely deserves recognition. If management happens to see this review, hopefully the pictures help identify who he was because he truly made our experience. The food was great, the drinks were good, and the prices were pretty much what you’d expect for the area. What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. Toward the end of the evening it started raining while we were waiting for our Uber. Not only were we not rushed out, but our waiter continued checking on us, making sure we had water and were comfortable while we waited. Overall, it was a great way to close out an amazing birthday weekend in Chicago. Great food, great drinks, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere. I would definitely come back the next time I’m in town.”
“Our family went here to celebrate birthdays. It was a suggested by one of the celebrated 🥳 🎉 🎊 so we went. Everyone ordered pizza. I had the green salad and brussel sprouts. They were ok. The Honey BooBoo pizza was exactly that a lot of HONEY I mean I get it but I promise you it was drenched in so much honey when you lifted a slice it was dripping from underneath. She asked for pepperoni and there was honey 🍯 🙄 in the middle of the pepperoni centers It was too much and overbearing. She sent it back. I could tell the manager was irritated, if not, they presented as so. It's ok because the Taco Dessert made up for it. We had the s'mores and cookie monster and they both were delicious 😋 The restaurant was nice and so was the service. The one who made the suggestion and reservations will be back, unfortunately, the rest of us won't.”
“I had a custom build your own BBQ chicken pizza. The pizza was good, would have enjoyed more of the crust if it wasn't so burnt. I then ordered the Gimme S'more tacolatos dessert. The shell was frozen and hard to break apart. It looks better than it tasted. Overall the food experience was mediocre. The service was average- nothing over the top. The vibe was loud and very low light- difficult to see the menu.”
“it takes a lot for me to write a not so great review. I understand why places have rules but we visited on a Tuesday afternoon and we were literally the only people on the outside patio and they made us “check” our stroller. I could see on a busy weekend or weeknight why is this a rule but honestly it was kind of annoying they were not willing to accommodate, i even asked. waitress was nice and attentive. brussel sprout salad was good until we found a hair, big bummer. manager took it off our bill. I got the honey boo boo with the cauliflower crust. weird flavor was overall kind of wet, i think the honey melted from being warm. came with fries that lacked any flavor. my husband got the hot chix and loved it. overall subpar, prob wouldn’t come back.”
