“Thank you for being open on a normal day off so we could fulfill our graduation kids request of having your place for dinner. Waitress was nice and accommodating. All of the food was amazing would highly recommend your place if ever in the area again!!”

“This was our first time eating here, and my husband and I drove almost an hour to try it. We were running a little late, and they happily adjusted our reservation for us. The atmosphere was cozy, the staff was friendly, and everything made for such a great experience from the moment we arrived. We ordered the cheese curds as an appetizer, and they were delicious! We both ordered steaks, and it was honestly one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. It literally melted in your mouth — perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. It was also my birthday, and our waitress surprised me with a piece of chocolate cake in a to-go container as we were getting ready to leave, which was very thoughtful. Overall, the drive was absolutely worth it, and we will definitely be back!”

“I have had many great experiences at The Patton Block and took my 5 year old son there for the first time. He had the best experience! He was very impressed at how "fancy" it was and he said the food was "the best in the entire world". He also has food allergies and the server and chef were very helpful and took great care of him. Highly recommend if you are in this part of Illinois.”

“My Wife and I went there for our anniversary and everything was great. She tried the Lemon Drop Martini and love it! We had breaded shrimp for appetizers it’s amazing! I had Prime Rib and she had Filet and both were cooked to perfection! Kevin at end of our diner treated us with little cake dessert. We highly recommend Paton Block”

“While our dine-in experiences have been acceptable, the overall quality of the food does not align with the prices being charged. The cost would suggest a higher level of consistency and preparation than what we have experienced. Our takeout orders, in particular, have been consistently disappointing. We have spent between $60–$80 per visit, only to arrive home and find undercooked asparagus (priced at nearly $4 for a very small portion), hard and dried-out bread, and salmon that is often improperly cooked. Most recently, I was informed that the vegetable of the day was asparagus, which influenced my order. After waiting approximately 45 minutes for our food, I was told that the vegetable was actually green beans and was asked if that substitution was acceptable. After the extended wait and a $65 total, not receiving the item that was specifically requested was frustrating. We hope to see improvements in both food quality and order accuracy moving forward. When you are charging high quality prices make sure the food is top quality as well as the service please and thanks! Going home with green beans because I was forced to already wait 45+ mins and was not going to be charged to wait another 15 for what I actually wanted since YOU all got it wrong.”
