If you're going to take your name from a badass like the patron saint of blacksmiths, you better be able to back it up. Baldamar marks the turning point where we usher in the new standard for style, service and steak. It means the menu’s made with old-world craft at its core and modern day meat eaters in mind — with flavors forged in fire and folded into pure primal perfection. It’s where every steak is aged 40 days and 40 nights for a taste of biblical proportion, and where crazy-fresh seafood means it was caught during your morning commute. At the bar sits every spirit imaginable, and someone who isn’t afraid to use them. This is more than a new steakhouse. It’s a line in the sand. It’s not just where you celebrate special occasions. It’s where you create them. *A 20% Service Fee is added to all groups of 6 or more.
“We came here for our anniversary and as soon as you walk in you are met with a darker and elegant atmosphere. We were seated quickly and our server was attentive and helpful with recommendations through out the night. The two cocktails we ordered were good, but the highlight of the night was the appetizers. The Bread of Life with the chimichurri and spreads were bomb, the bread itself was soft with a little crunch. We wanted more! We demolished the chorizo nachos. All the toppings paired well together with the toasted chips. For the main entrees we were a tad underwhelmed not because of the quality of the food but because of the portion size for the price. The Sea Bass with a yuzu glaze was a pairing of delicious Asian flavors, and the lobster roll was good but there was too much bread and not enough lobster. Overall the experience was great and we enjoyed all the food. It was pricy but that’s to be expected.”
“Came here once before and had a real good experience and this time I decide to celebrating my birthday here. Since I made the reservation and mentioned it’s for celebrating birthday, the host check me in and said hbd to me, that’s really sweet. The restaurant is pretty busy, but the food service really fast. All the food is tasty, Whiskey Cream Mushrooms is my favor. After finish eating, our waiter told me that they have a birthday dessert for me, and the cake is really good too. The food is good, and the service is also amazing. Definitely a come back restaurant for me.”
“My husband and I flew to Minnesota for a friend’s event and decided to celebrate my birthday a little early while we were in town. The vibe there is great with lots of unique art and paintings on the walls. One thing I really liked as an eco-friendly person was that the bathroom has actual towels for drying your hands instead of paper ones. We had a reservation and they had us seated within five minutes. We started with the Whiskey Cream Mushrooms and the Watermelon Salad. If you are a cheese lover, you have to get those mushrooms. They were buttery and warm and absolutely loaded with parmesan. They basically just melted in my mouth. The watermelon salad was our personal favorite of the night. It had a spicy kick to it that reminded us of eating watermelon with Tajin. I actually saved some of the salad to eat with my Hanger Steak Chimichurri. The steak had a unique and slightly gamey taste with a different texture from the seasoning. I almost thought I had been served lamb or goat, but it was still good. Mixing the blue cheese from the salad with the steak was a great combo to help balance out the heaviness of the meat. My husband tried the Mother’s Day special which was halibut with fruit salads. We never thought those flavors would go well together, but it was a really nice surprise. For dessert, we ordered the Mocha Mudpie. We had no idea how massive it was going to be until it arrived. It is easily big enough for four people to share. It is made with Sebastian Joe’s coffee ice cream and Oreos and walnuts. My husband ordered a coffee to go with it, which I would definitely recommend doing. The bitterness of the coffee really helps balance out all that chocolate and sweetness. The only part we were a little unsure about was the birthday treat. The table right behind us got a small dessert with a candle. My husband mentioned to the server that it was my birthday while I was in the restroom, but we did not get anything. We were not sure if the other table ordered theirs separately or if the restaurant just does not do complimentary birthday treats. It was not a dealbreaker, but it was just something we noticed since we usually see that for special occasions. Overall, it is a really good spot for a date night or just grabbing drinks. They have some great beverage options too.”
“I had the most wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The best steak I EVER HAD. It was sooo flavorful. The drinks and wine were wonderful. The appetizers were amazing and so flavorful. Sean was our server abd he was absolutely phenomenal. He always made sure we were taken care of and he let us know about the steak cuts and the farm where their meat comes from and how the cows are treated. I will definitely be back here!”
“We celebrated 2 Birthdays here for a dinner outing. The service was top notch! The food presentation is definitely coming out of a kitchen with a culinary Artist for a Chef! We had a party of 6 and every meal choice was fantastic. It IS an expensive place to eat but worth every penny. Everyone should try The Bread of Life w/ a second loaf.”
