“Absolutely exquisite! This is a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with outstanding service, and every dish is thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The food doesn’t just satisfy your appetite—it feeds your soul while making every meal feel like a special occasion. We’re visitors from Guam, but every time we’re in Hawaii, we make it a point to dine here. It’s become one of our favorite traditions. Chao’s is truly beyond fantastic. If you’re looking for incredible food, warm hospitality, and an unforgettable experience, this place should be at the top of your list!”
“We really enjoyed it. We shared 4 dishes for appetizers: hamachi poke, roasted eggplant, fried maitaki mushrooms, and spring rolls. They were all good. I wish the spring rolls came with more lettuce and vegetables. I had the chicken pho and my friend had the beef pho. They were aromatic and had rich developed flavors. But, there were no chilis and somewhat scant vegetables for two bowls of pho. We shared the Please Come Again dessert. It was a great end to the meal. I also had the Liquid Wellness crafted soft drink... calamansi and fresh ginger, very flavor forward.”
“My husband and I are visiting Hawaii and our friend who lives here took us to this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The food was so good and flavorful as were the drinks. I tried so many new flavors and dishes. Before I was even done eating, I was planning our itinerary to come back again already. The service was top tier, everyone was so kind and patient. Helpful with ordering a cuisine im not familiar with. Would recommend over and over. Highly highly recommend the carpaccio and soft shell crab pasta with the koi refresher.”
“Clean upscale atmosphere. Staff are very professional and friendly. Food came out super fast. I had the carpaccio which was done Thai style, tons of flavor with fresh herbs and crispy garlic. I also tried the beef brisket bahn mi, best I’ve ever had highly recommend. Tons of flavor, pickled veggies had a nice crunch and the brisket melted in my mouth. Worth a stop I’ll definitely be back”
“My family and I really enjoyed our lunch at Chao. We had three appetizers: calamari, roasted eggplant and poke. The calamari came w a sauce that was so delish. Hub used it on several dishes. We ordered lemongrass chicken bahn mi, soft shell crab pasta and lemongrass & rice with onsen egg for lunch. Everything was so good. I loved my onsen egg on top of my rice. Hub put a bunch of Sriracha on his pasta and loved it. Then we had coconut flan for dessert and it came w these cute dessert spoons! We made a reservation thru Open Table. Highly recommend reservations because the place was packed! Great service, good parking, awesome food!”
