Oporto Fooding House & Wine is a Houston food and wine institution founded by chef-owners Rick and Shiva Di Virgilio located on the border of Midtown-River Oaks Houston. Inspired by Portuguese tradition, the restaurant celebrates bold coastal flavors, shareable petiscos, and vibrant energy, in a warm inviting dining room. The menu highlights fresh seafood such as mussels, piri-piri shrimp, croquetas de bacalhau, and Portuguese paella, alongside grilled meats including espetada de carne (table-side hanging beef skewers). Seasonal additions from the chef’s point of view round out the offering, paired with a curated selection of Portuguese and European wines and an exceptional cocktail program.
