“A 10/10 Anniversary Night : And Jazz Made It Unforgettable ★★★★★ My wife Lucy and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Sun Chong, and it turned out to be the highlight of our week in New Orleans. We walked in without a reservation and were seated right away at the bar, which ended up being the best possible outcome, because that's where we met Jazz. She is an absolute rockstar. She was warm and genuinely friendly from the first minute, knew the menu inside and out, and somehow kept tabs on a packed bar without ever making us feel like anything less than her only guests. When she learned it was our anniversary, she went out of her way to make the night feel special , she even took photos of the two of us, and surprised us with a matcha beignet for dessert that was as fun as it was delicious. That kind of attentiveness can't be trained; you either have it or you don't, and Jazz has it in spades. The food more than held up its end. We ordered the yum yum ribs and the neno fried chicken, and both were out of this world, the kind of dishes you're still thinking about days later. We each had one of the special "I Love You" cocktails to toast the occasion, and they were as good as they were fitting. Between the Korean/New Orleans menu, the atmosphere and vibes, and hospitality like that, Sun Chong nailed it. Ten out of ten. We'll absolutely be back, and we'll be asking for Jazz.”

“One of my favorite restaurants in the city. The food is always fresh, drinks are meticulously crafted, and the ambiance allows for either the enjoyment of friendly conversation or wrapping yourself into the fantastic playlist that may be playing in the moment. I’ve had several dishes here and none of them have let me down; my favorites are the bulgogi, fried ribs, Brussels, chicken wings, and spicy pork (long list, I know but I wouldn’t steer you wrong). Cocktail wise, Henny Hunny Is my beverage of choice. Again, I don’t think you can go wrong. Happy Hour options are fantastic too. I recommend making reservations whenever possible.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sun Chong exceeded my expectations from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing, packed with flavor, and every dish came out fresh and beautifully presented. The fusion of Korean and New Orleans flavors is unique and executed perfectly. The atmosphere was vibrant, welcoming, and full of energy, making it a great spot for a date night, family dinner, or hanging out with friends. A special shoutout to Brittany and Kai for providing outstanding service. They were friendly, attentive, professional, and helped make the entire experience even more enjoyable. The gumbo dumplings and fried rice were standout dishes, You can tell a lot of thought and creativity goes into both the menu and the overall dining experience. If you’re looking for something different and memorable in New Orleans, Sun Chong is definitely worth visiting. Thanks again to Brittany and Kai for their exceptional hospitality. I will absolutely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and a great vibe.”

“The experience was nice. The manager seemed a bit aloof, but maybe he is trying to build an elite type of stigma? But the servers were super nice and nice and super friendly. The food was beautiful and flavorful. The drinks were unique and matched the energy of the dishes. I would go here again.”

“Sun Chong was recommended to me and my friends, and I can honestly say it was a great recommendation!! The entire experience was really nice! The atmosphere is very beautiful, simple, elegant, a hint of fusion, and very chill! The food is absolutely next level, I really don’t think you could order a bad item from this menu! The service was absolutely fantastic! We sat at the bar and the bartender was super attentive, knowledgeable, helpful, and cool as hell! The one thing that I wasn’t a fan of was the inability to provide separate checks. There were three of us and our checks got lumped in together (which isn’t an issue), but they couldn’t be separated and we couldn’t pay for what we had individually, the tab had to be split exactly three ways. That’s nothing that would stop me from coming back, it was just unexpected. If you are in New Orleans you should absolutely stop by Sun Chong!!”
