“Fine dining for sure! We have been here at least 4 times and have loved it every time. We made an engagement party reservations for 4 at 5:00 for a window seat. The table was set so we could all enjoy the view and the turbulent, foamy cove did not disappoint. Cocktails were great, same with the starters and the mains. Spend some time here, you will not regret it. Very attentive service but not too attentive...just right! Their desserts are also unforgettable.”
“Just wanted to say, we saved up our money for this wonderful meal and chose it for our *one* *fancy* meal while away on a date out of town. It was beyond expectations. The waitress was kind and disarming, the food was comforting and also unexpected in the different flavor/texture combinations. Great portions and we were well cared for, which made it feel like our money really went far. The wine pairings we also well done. We would be blessed to visit again at some point and hope to! Thank you for a great experience. A few other tables were seated while we were there any it was fun to hear everyone's excitement over their dishes as they tried them.”
“Brilliant view of the ocean and potentially the sunset, however, since it's autumn the sun sets early most diners won't see it as the restaurant is open for dinner at 5pm only. We arrived a bit before 5 and got to enjoy the view for a bit before it was too dark. Too bad they're not open earlier in the day. Our server was kind, and helpful. I also noticed how they helped other tables make their drink and food choices with good sense of humor. Food was good. I particularly liked the salad, sablefish, and the duck. The bread was polenta cheddar was also delicious. The pork belly was a bit tough, and some duck pieces were tough too. Hmm... There was a matsutake rice with the sablefish which we were excited to try but wasn't that flavorful.”
“We were so excited for our anniversary trip to dine at Restaurant Beck. However……. We were let down by the lack of staffing.. for example…we showed up at 5:45 pm (the first and only patrons) and ended up asking for our check at 8:05 pm with two courses still left to go. I had asked for water previously and STILL WAITED 40 minutes with empty cups, no food on our table, and a longing to get a move on with our romantic evening while mixed drinks were still being poured for other patrons. When asking for the check we were still charged FULL PRICE. This is far from our first time on a coursed meal at this price and understand the concept of spacing, however we were so turned off with the giant spacing and lack of service we could not spend another minute waiting for basics and felt like we were in captivity. The meals were creative but they weren’t enough to maintain the desire to subject ourselves to being ignored another minute. I don’t write negative reviews often and I understand the shortage of employees…. Especially in a small town, but please… get this waiter some help, this was a sad experience we waited so long for.”
“This was one of the most disappointing celebration dinners we’ve had. The parking lot spaces were extremely tiny, and our table was not ready at our reservation time. We waited about 10 minutes just to be seated, then another 30 minutes before the waiter finally checked on us. The service was very cold and inattentive. The waiter only asked what we wanted to drink and never once checked on how the meal was, while other tables received much more attention. They did not explain anything about our dishes, so we had no idea what any of the items were, yet we could hear them giving detailed explanations to other tables. The food itself was not good either. The food was overcooked, and overall the experience did not feel welcoming or worth the price. We definitely would not come back again.”
