Honest Wine | Innovative Mead | Local Honey Rosewood Estates Winery & Meadery is a small, family-owned winery on the Beamsville Bench in Niagara, rooted in generations of beekeeping, farming, and hospitality. As Niagara’s original meadery, Rosewood brings together traditional Old World winemaking, modern cellar practices, and estate honey to create wines and meads that are thoughtful, balanced, and full of story. Our wines are quality-focused and made with a light touch, without added sugar, acid, or fining agents, and with minimal added sulphur. These are living wines: expressive, honest, and reflective of where they come from. Rosewood’s newly renovated tasting room and kitchen are open year-round, with our vineyard patio open seasonally from May to October. Guests can enjoy wine flights, mead flights, wines by the glass, local honey, and a seasonal kitchen menu led by our 2-Michelin Star trained Estate Chef. From casual tastings to guided tours, chef-led lunches, archive tastings, and bee experiences, Rosewood offers something for everyone. Our hospitality is warm, genuine, and approachable — rooted in sharing good wine, good food, and the stories behind them.
“We had a wonderful experience at Rosewood Estates Winery. We came for lunch and a wine tasting, and everything exceeded our expectations. The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, while the wine tasting was informative and enjoyable. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel very welcome. The winery itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.”
“Best wine tour EVER! Anne was such a knowledgeable and kind guide who was able to give us a tour that was fun and interesting for every member of our group even when we all had very different backgrounds and varying degrees of wine knowledge. The lunch after the tour was also perfect, the food was a 100/10, the wine pairing was perfect. I will also say the juice pairing was the best I’ve had. They also sell the most delicious honey and sweet treats. I do wish they offered coffee - imagine a lavender honey latte!!”
“Phenomenal real food experience. Menu items are works of art by Chef Peter. Really nice touch that the chef came out to present it. We had the seasonal menu appetizer, with 2 dishes and 2 wines. Also had the glazed sausage and dessert. All fresh ingredients grown on-site or sourced locally. It is what food should be. Will return to try the mead and associated pairings.”
“Went for the mead flight tasting and also ordered the sourdough with honey butter. I really enjoyed the Mead Blanc and the Mead Royale. I ended up buying a bottle of each to take home. The Meadhattan and Solera Mead were good (I liked the Solera better), but not to my personal taste. The sourdough with honey butter was a very nice palate cleanser. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and informative. The shop is very nice. I also bought some honey fudge which really hits the spot. :) Having bought and enjoyed their spiced mead at the LCBO, this was definitely something I was looking forward to and it didn't disappoint! It's a very nice place to make a trip to!”
“Had a fantastic experience at Rosewood Estates Winery and Meadery today! Anne, our sommelier, guided us through a very interesting tour of this beautiful location. The wines and mead were delicious and the chef's plate we added on was incredible. This winery celebrates low interference methods, and the chef creates from local sources. All of the staff were so friendly and down-to-earth. This unpretentious winery should be on every wine lover's "to visit" list.”
