“We had booked a Family meal & what a truly wonderful meal it was!! The Roast Beef was absolutely delicious, the roast potatoes, vegetables and beef dripping Yorkshire puddings were all excellent 👌🏻 Our Grandson chose chips and we did try & these too were exceptional 🙌 The deserts again were scrumptious 😋 New York Cheesecake & Chocolate Fudge Cake 👍 Hats off to Martin the Chef and the Staff and Service was Top Notch, thank you Mark and Team 🤗 Would Highly recommend, we will definitely be returning customers 👏🏻☺️ We wanted you add photos but, the food was gone in a jiffy 🤣🤣”

“Table thoughtfully provided near a lovely open fire ( it was cold outside!). Choices on the menu were adequate for 2 adults and 2 children. Bar staff and waitresses were lovely and very welcoming. Tbe food quality was excellent and all freshly cooked. Have been here before for Sunday lunch and always been satisfied and this early evening meal left us feeling exactly the same. A smashing drop of Blacksheep bitter rounded it off. Would happily recommend the Royal Oak to anyone 👍”

“I took my mum to The Royal Oak for Mother’s Day lunch in March 2026 and we both thought it was fantastic. The pub is nicely decorated and we received a very warm welcome when we arrived. All the staff were great - really attentive and caring. The food was excellent - we both really enjoyed our salt and pepper squid starter, followed by roast beef. Thanks to Jon and the team for a really nice time.”

The food was exceptional — the burger was juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor, while the pie was simply divine with a golden, flaky crust and rich, hearty filling. The atmosphere was incredibly homely, with the warm glow of the fireplace adding a cozy touch to the pub's charm. The staff were not only friendly and welcoming but also incredibly kind to our dog, Merlin, making him feel just as at home. A fantastic spot for a relaxing meal in the countryside!
