Tranche occupies a spectacular site in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, east of Walla Walla. The vineyard climbs as high as 1265 feet and provides a heart-thumping, bird’s-eye view of the entire Walla Walla Valley. The unique aspects of terroir which give each wine a sense of place—such as soil, elevation, aspect and rainfall—make our Blue Mountain Estate Vineyard truly one of a kind. At Tranche, we are devoted to crafting expressive, aromatic and beautifully defined wines. From deeply textured reds that convey the unique character of the land, to elegant whites and rosé that offer a new-World interpretation of classic Rhône blends, we strive to make every bottle worthy of your attention.
“Such a beautifully peaceful location for a glass of wine. The patio has heaters and a large fire pit. There were wandering deer when we visited. Our dogs enjoyed the grass area and we enjoyed our flights. We started with a rosé, followed by a chardonnay, and some reds. There was even an ice wine we got to try which was a treat. Staff was really friendly and we enjoyed meeting the winemaker, Spencer. Tasting fees are waived with a bottle purchase. We'll be back!”
“Stunning tasting room and outdoor space with a lovely view of the vineyards and Blue Mountains. Worth a visit for that alone. They fired up the outdoor fireplace and it was lovely and cozy for a tasting. Really loved the whites especially. If you buy a bottle or two they waive the tasting fee (which by itself is a good value). They have a cool event space for live music. 10 mins from downtown and easy to find. Def worth a visit.”

“Beautiful location and perfect setting for a Friday family fun night on a hot summer day. They had a fun Latin jazz musical group and many people showed up to enjoy the special dishes of food trucks and Tranche’s wine. If you are visiting Walla Walla I would put it on your top 5 things to do in the Walla Walla Valley.”
