Walker Homestead started its humble roots with five acres and a vision for a little bit of Napa in the Iowa countryside. We soon after expanded our property to include the neighboring 80-acres of land. We do more than just make exceptionally great food and wine — we are committed to continuously improving our environment impact, community involvement, staff support, business values and cultural connection.

My brother and I came here to honor my Mom on her Heavenly Birthday and we glad we came here.
We ordered a Pepperoni and Hot Honey pizza and a Roasted Chicken pizza.
It was so flavorful, the crust was like a fluffy edible pillow.
The view is amazing and the staff was great.

“We are a DJ company that has been here several times. Every time we go, we have an incredible experience. The food, the staff, and of course the beautiful farm never disappoint. I always get excited when I have a couple at this venue because I know they will have a great experience. It’s truly one of my favorite venues, and I can’t rave about them enough.
I especially love the ability to have receptions outdoors. The property is filled with beautiful flowers, making it an absolutely stunning setting. If you are someone who loves the outdoors, amazing food, unique drinks, and a Midwest-nice kind of staff, this is a great venue for you. Special shout-out to the coordinator Anna, bartender Elliott, and the owner Kristy, who make it all happen. It really captures all the reasons to love Iowa—beautiful sunsets, farm-fresh food, and most importantly, friendly and genuinely kind people.”

“If you’re looking for a venue that is beautiful, organized, has delicious food, and built in entertainment (hello adorable animals and yard games) - this is the place. We had our wedding here and WOW what an incredible experience. Forever grateful for Kristy, Bob, Diana, Hannah, and the rest of the staff at Walker. The kindest of people! I appreciated all of their help throughout the process and additional things they offered that I didn’t need to go out at rent (tables, ceremony chairs, vintage plates, dessert tables, ceremony arch, bud vases, etc.). Still getting compliments on how good the food was and how beautiful the property is. Cant wait to come back to celebrate anniversaries!”

“We drove here for dinner reservations on a Thursday night in November and had an amazing time. At the time of our visit, I believe they’re only opening to the public on Thursday nights for general dinner reservations. They change the menu each week, and it’s so fun and different. Their wood fired pizzas are creative and unique.
The food during our visit was phenomenal. As an appetizer, we ordered a hummus dish with pickled vegetables. Then, we enjoyed two pizzas: a pepperoni with spicy honey, and a mushroom with truffle oil, lemon, and chives. We also ordered dessert, which featured chocolate, raspberry, and cinnamon. Every single thing was so delicious. We had wine with dinner and love the Walker White and Walker Red.
Everyone was so friendly, and we will definitely be returning! I highly recommend.”
