Located in the Elston Industrial District--not quite Bucktown, not quite Lincoln Park--Ada Street offers dinner service five days a week.
“This is a donut review - one of the best I’ve ever had in the city of Chicago. Ada Street has been on the list to try out for a while and finally made it last night. Incredible through and through. Service is top notch, atmosphere is great and food is unreal. Highly recommend the steak, carrots, and gnocchi. Will be back and will recommend to everyone”
“First time here. And as a first timer you tend to be afraid of trying new things especially when it comes to comfort zone. But this place did not disappoint. I appreciate it a Google Recommended, because it is well deserve to be here. From ambiance , to food to service. Did NOT disappoint.”
“Delicious! Very good date night spot. It’s got the aesthetic of a speakeasy and the vibes of a jazz bar. The menu is short but packed with flavor and variety. The gnocchi was so amazing I’ve never had little gnocchi pillows melt in my mouth before!! I even asked to keep the plate so I could use the little bit of leftover sauce to dip the other parts of the meal in. The fish was so interesting because it’s rare now they plate the whole fish but it was looking at me and it was so tasty too. It was fun to dine in the low light as well! Very good service.”
“Five stars all around! Dark, moody, speakeasy vibe that is apparent the moment you see the nondescript front door. We loved the ambiance and music selection! Everything we ate was delectable. Two of us shared the Roasted Carrots, Gnocchi (which I’m still dreaming of), New York Strip, and two Doughnuts. We left stuffed and took home plenty of leftovers. Two of the dishes were heavy on the salt, but I didn’t mind. It seems to be a common occurrence that the restaurant is warm. It certainly was on the night we were there. And check the menu ahead of time. This isn’t the place to eat if you’re looking for “light” food. And that’s okay with me.”
“Food was very creative and delicious. Lamb ribs were fabulous and gnocchi perfect. Steak tartare was very good if a little horseradish heavy. Plates were beautiful. Our server was very nice but service felt rushed. Plates were delivered two at a time on a very small table and we felt like they were in a hurry to get us out of there. This was my first time there. Apparently this is not normal according to my dinner partner. They weren't especially busy at the time and there were five servers standing at the front by the kitchen when we were leaving. I'd give them another try all that being said.”
