“The food was amazing! We tried the lamb crepinettes, the pork lemon kebabs special, the cheese plate, and the salted caramel chocolate mousse, all paired with a lovely Soave wine. Every dish was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The salted caramel chocolate mousse was the perfect ending to the meal. The service was warm, attentive, and made the experience even better. We also loved the charming back patio—it was such a cute, cozy space to enjoy dinner and wine. Highly recommend, and we can't wait to return!”

“We had such a great experience here! We had a group of 7 plus our 2-month-old baby and sat in one of the cabanas. The ambiance, wine, and small plates were all amazing, and they make a really great burger. As new parents, we especially appreciated how accommodating everyone was, including having a changing table available. Also loved that they use Sunday for payment. It made splitting the bill easy and let us quickly close out our portion when the baby started crying and we needed to leave fast. Can’t wait to come back!”

Everything was fresh, drinks were great, vibes were fun, and the staff were super nice and quick even when it got busy. “Volo Wine Bar is the kind of place you almost want to keep to yourself — an intimate escape tucked into Roscoe Village with one of the most impressive happy hours in Chicago (daily from 4–6 PM) and a wine list that could keep you exploring for hours. I had the pleasure of visiting during their Wine Flight Wednesday, and from the very first sip, I felt completely transported overseas. Each pour highlighted beautiful wines from different countries, turning the night into a little passport of flavors, stories, and unforgettable pairings. And the food? Absolutely incredible. The oysters were refreshing, the shrimp ceviche was bright and flavorful, the sweet pea flatbread was the perfect balance of crisp and creamy, and the salted caramel chocolate mousse was the kind of dessert you think about long after the last bite. Between the lush cabana garden atmosphere, thoughtfully curated wines, and dishes that leave you wanting another round, Volo Wine Bar effortlessly creates the kind of night you never want to end. “Volo Wine Bar is truly such a hidden gem and one of my new favorite spots in Chicago! Their cozy, intimate patio is actually unreal — I’d go back for that alone, and the food and wine/cocktail lineup is also just as amazing. Their Happy Hour is one of the best I’ve found too: $1 oysters, $6 wine, and $8 sangria (Tuesday–Saturday, 4–6pm). Plus, they’re currently celebrating their 20-year anniversary right now with 20% off all champagne, which is such a great bonus. Highly recommend checking this place out — you won’t want to miss this one!”
