Le Midi brings to Chicago the Mediterranean tradition of l’heure de l’apéro: the time before or after dinner to sit back and relax with a glass of wine alongside a few choice bites to enhance your experience. We offer limited reserved experiences, but walk-ins are always welcome!
“Love it here. Great, interesting wine selection and tasty small plates to amuse your bouche. I particularly like the Spanish potato chips. The staff is very knowledgeable and the vibe is continental and fun. You can also buy bottles to go.”
“Fabulously laid back with a curated selection of wine and snackies to accompany. Love stopping in for an early evening pour and always enjoy their tastings (tidbit: book early for the tastings if you want to ensure snagging a seat). Seth and his team are the best - friendly, fun, and always willing to accommodate… it’s the perfect neighborhood wine bar.”
“This is an absolute neighborhood gem!! Our daughter lives in Wicker Park and has brought me here twice (I live in Charleston, SC). Each time, we have had a fabulous experience (and she and her husband frequent this place) They have an amazing selection of wines, all beautifully curated. Recently I purchased several bottles of different wines (a red, a white and saki) and their recommendations were spot on. HIghly recommend and one of my go-to places when I visit!”
“Cute place inside and out. We enjoyed 3 out of 4 of the wines we tried. My husband's white was not chilled well. The food is too expensive for what you get. We paid $30+ for 2 cheeses and a meat that didn't come with any accoutrements. The salami was sliced sadly thin. One type of soft bread when you should be served a variety of breads/crackers that make sense with different cheeses. I'd expect at least a pickle or two and some nuts and jam. Debatable if we'd return because of this as we like food with our wine. None of the other snack options seemed appealing either ($8 for chips).”
“Came here on a Tuesday with my family (three of us). We came around 5pm. It was pretty empty, and we were able to get a table outside. I got a sparkling wine, and my partner got a tea. We got my child a lemonada soda (although we had to ask again to get it). We also got sparkling water for the table and the server accidentally filled our glasses while walking by with still water. Not too big of a deal but it was gross when they mixed. We got the hummus crudité, it came with 2 largely cut pieces of French bread and a couple radish slices and a 2 cucumber slices. Overall it was fine, nothing special. Service was average.”
